Ugh, it's 7:40p and I'm still at work. I didn't think I would be here still.
I used to work in the lab where late would be anything past 10pm.

Oh, that so sucks. I'm in a lab too, and anything past 6 PM is late to me. I work very very hard to not have experiments run late.

Anything past 6PM, I considered late (since I was supposed to be off at 5PM).

I'm a wedding planner so anything after 2am. With that said anything before noon is early.

DH works until 10pm or later three nights a week and it sucks. I consider that late. When he's off around 5, that's "normal" and anytime before 5 is "early".

mmm I've worked til 1am working on apac hours, but most of the time working late is anything past 6pm

@Grace: I'm a night owl, so I would rather start my studies at 9am than wake up super early to start a study at 6 or 7am.
So because of that, it means late nights.
It will probably change when I have a LO.
Oh, and today is not a study day. I've been doing a lot of desk work lately. Kinda grateful that I don't have those long 12-14 hour study days.
Anyway, I need to leave. Be back later when I get home.

Pre meeting my wife, it was often 2 or 3 am.
After meeting my wife, I was usually home by 10 pm or midnight.
Now I'm almost always home by 6 pm to pick up Charlie. If Bee picks him up, then I'll shoot for around 7:30 so I can give him his bath at least.

@mrbee: @Mrs. Bee: Aww, that's so cute. You posted right after each other. Are you guys sitting in the same room? Or different.

for me, it's 5:30. I'm a teacher and we can leave at 3:45 p.m. Our principals don't like us being up there past 6 p.m. because most people have left by then.

I've stayed up until 3 a.m. editing before. Not the best work to be doing in the wee hours!

@bluestriped bee: we're in the same room. i'm on the bed watching x factor and waiting for my unisom to kick in. i've been battling some crazy insomnia lately! but it's not kicking in!!

I say anything after 5:00. I'm in a Sales role in a small office, and I typically get to work around 7:15. My job is pretty much ALL phone and computer, which I can access anywhere, so once I get the main chunk of any "office-y" paperwork/follow-ups/check-ins done, (as bad as it sounds), I don't feel like I should need to be glued to my desk.

@Grace: LOL! Just stuff that needed to be done that I have been putting off. I usually take the bus to work but today I drove in so I took advantage (?) of being able to work later.

I get off at 4:30pm. 4:31 is late to me. I hate to get stuck there for even 10 minutes. I better be locking the door at 4:30!

Late is anything past 6:00. I used to work until 8, even 9 before baby. But now that i have 2 kiddos, I can't imagine working past 6 now.

For me it's anything after 5PM. I rarely ever work late. Even though I'm salary, I always make it a point to leave the office on time. I never want work to rule my life!

Anything past 4:30pm. I work for the Military. I am salary but we are required to work 8 hrs and if I stayed later...they would def want me to do that more often and I dont want to start making that a habbit. I sually dont have time for lunch or breaks so I dont want to give more than that.

I typically leave at 4:50 to catch the 5:07 train. If I leave after that, I consider it leaving late because I have to catch the next train.

Now days it's 6:30 or later. Last year I would have said anything after 8-gross!
wonderful grape / 20453 posts
After 4pm? I'm usually off at 3:00 or 3:30. Staying past 5:00 would be super late for me.
