Yes and no. DS has always been a crappy napper since month 2. most days he'll take 1 long nap (1 45-1hour) and a few catnaps (30 min). Sometimes he has an unusually long nap (2 hours) and only 1 or 2 catnaps. Regardless his nighttime sleep is still around 11 hours.
So naps affect other naps, but not really nighttime sleep. We've had days since he has STTN that he's slept 17-18 hours/day total to average where he sleeps 15-16 hours.

No, her naps stayed the same. I did notice that when she slept longer at night, she would refuse the 3rd nap. So we've been doing 2 naps/day since she was 6 months old. Each of her naps are 1-2 hours though.

I think his naps improved at home, stayed about the same at daycare. We got a total of 4 hours out of him napping yesterday. Before last week, that was a unicorn experience. Now, it's possible for him to get decent amounts of sleep we didn't think he could before.

In the beginning they did, she used to have a 2 hour nap in the afternoon before sleeping longer at night and now all her naps are about 45 minutes long.
