We are now in the market for a convertible, but I don't need it right this second so I'm trying to see if you got yours for a great price, when you got it!
Our infant car seat is a hand me down, and stroller was a gift! And I stumbled upon an older model of the Britax Boulevard at Target on clearance plus a 20% off cartwheel.. That is going in my mom's car so now we need one for our car.

We just replaced two, I had been scouring for months for a sale and missed one unfortunately. I finally gave up. I ordered them from Kohls.com when we could get Kohl's cash and a decent return from ebates. I think it depends on what you are looking for. Britax in my experience (unless I'm missing something) doesn't tend to go on sale.
Also, BRU does their trade-in event where you can get 20% off a new item usually in Jan/Feb timeframe.

I havent been car seat shopping in years but Britax use to have a sale in February every year - not sure if they still do that - that's when I got DS's seats.

I bought two combi cocorros for the price of one through no better deal.com. We're going through them faster than I thought (she'll be totally grown out around 3 so we'll have to get alternate seats for her) but they are great for small cars/kids.

I was pretty picky about our seat since our car was smaller and I needed shorter front to back. So after I picked the seat I kind of looked for sales but just used a 20% off coupon at BBB and called it a day. We only needed one though since we just have one car. I may have searched harder if it was for two cars and twice the expense.

@MamaG: We're actually looking at the Chicco Nextfit for our car! But you are right, any current/popular models don't really go on sale so I'm really thinking special promo's that aren't a direct sale on the item!

I have the Diono for DS. It was on sale around Black Friday. I'll have to keep an eye out for it again this year so I can grab one for LO#2 since DS will be in the Diono for quite a few more years!

@snowjewelz: yeah I got the next fit. Seemed like there aren't often sales- though I prob could have saved a little if I was more patient. Meh. I really like the seat though! It was a little hard to tighten the straps at first but they seemed to have loosened up a little and it's not an issue anymore. C is 2 and nowhere close to the RF limits, but we will prob turn her when the new baby is born in dec.

I got a Diono from a flash sale on Amazon for $230. It's about $289 right now so not a huge savings but better than nothing!
For our Britax carseats, I just price watched constantly and I think it was about $170 for one of our Boulevards. The other I bought during Black Friday (more hype than a particularly good deal).

Albee baby has some good deals. I'd sign up for their emails. Usually get a flash sale Friday one. We got a Britax Frontier for $247 a few months ago. MSRP is $329. Shipping is very fast!
ETA: if you know what model you want, try using Google Shop to find the best price and then see if Retail Me Not has a coupon for the site.

I got a Graco Size4Me on sale at Amazon + Graco rebate -- paid less than $100 for it and it's listed for $160 right now. I wanted something that would get him RF past 2 and it has one of the highest height limits for RF (DS is really tall) --it's up there with the Chicco Nextfit and Cleks.

I got my marathon on Amazon right before new models were rolling out which meant discounted prices on current colors to clear stock! 
I'm in the market for a Evenflo maestro for my ILs car but no luck finding it any lower than $71.99!
