She was my across the street neighbor growing up and she used to babysit me : )

She backed her horse into me and my horse. True story.

College. We didn't become bffs until our sophomore year when we became RAs together.

My big sis (pretty obvious when we met)

My other BFF- 1st day of Kindergarten!! 23 years and still going. We are like an old married couple.

Kindergarten. We live very different lives now, but our husbands work together so we see each other a lot. It's more like a sister. We are going on 27 years!

Middle school. We sat next to each other in English, and she was the new kid from Ohio.

Preschool!

I met all my close girl friends in college. Unfortunately my bff in highschool and I drifted apart, and my bff from kindergarten decided I was the bad guy in a relationship, and then went on to date and marry my ex.

I have three.

One I met in 6th grade (her mom was my long-term substitute while my regular teacher was on maternity leave). We didn't grow close until HS, though.

The second I met in college, we lived across the hall from each other in the dorms freshman year.

The other I met at a job training. I totally thought she was a "cool girl" and was all shy and awkward around her at first. But now we are very close!

Junior High! She's the person in my life who's known me the longest (except family) and I love her dearly

At a party of mutual friends...though we knew each other for 3 or 4 years before we actually ended up BFFs! Now I don't know where I would be without her.

I have 5 best friends I talk to almost daily, but for sure a couple times a week (I'm very blessed)

1& 2: First day of kindergarden
3: 1st class of 7th grade year
4: junior year of HS when I unknownly stole her boyfriend (he told me he was single) We obviously got over that horrible meeting & bonded
5: Freshman year of college

Funny. I met her through this sleazy gross guy I dated in university. She was friends with him because they were from the same small town!

@NaturallyCathy: I'm so sorry your BFF has gone boy crazy! It's tough when you and your friends are at different stages in each others lives. as we get older, it's harder to find those friends that fit into our lives in the way we need and want them to. But I think it's fabulous that hello bee friends exist to fulfill our chatty and even emotional needs!!!

@petunia354: oh I love that you counted your big sis as your best friend!!! I do, too!!! My sis is six years older than me. How about your sister?

@MrsMcD: Big sisters are the best! Mine is 10 years older, which I think helps our relationship. She is almost a mom figure to me, she was there when I shaved my legs the first time, took my for my first eyebrow wax & mani/pedi and was the first to take me out driving (with her car!). We also work together so we are literally together 5 days a week, 6 hours a day and often get together with our kids on the weekends
