@Ash: I'm hanging my head in shame because I didn't list my DH or my mom as a best friend!! But they absolutely are.
I know there are people who do not consider their DH to be their best friend. If that works fo them, awesome. But my DH is my best friend. Although, he doesn't like to chat or gossip. That's where the ladies in my life come in.

@petunia354: I love hearing about your big sister! My sister lives one street away from me!! I see her several times a week. We did not get along well growing up, but after I graduated high school and we were both moved out of the house, we grew closer. Now I can't imagine not having her .25 miles away. That's really fun that you work with your sister. Sisters forever!!!!

Kindergarden. We didn't become really close until Grade 8 or so, but we had been friends the whole time.
Unfortunately, we've drifted apart since graduating HS, going our separate ways and all. But we can still pick up where we left off when we can/do see each other.

She was a year behind me at high school but we never knew each other then. I met her and her husband when I moved back to my hometown at 21 and we've just grown on each other

5th grade at church! We are in very different positions of life right now (she is single and just started her post-college career.. I am married 3 years with a toddler and working part-time), but we have stayed friends through all of the changes in our lives and support each other no matter what! I love that even through me getting married and having a child, she has known how to still be a friend and LOVES my son and calls him her nephew it's so sweet. I actually just had a sleepover with her last weekend - it was so fun.

The closest thing to a BFF . . . I met her in law school. I adore her to bits--to the moon and back!--but it's hard to keep up with her and its hard for me to talk to her about some things (being married with kids) because that's what she wants more than anything, I don't want her to think I am ungrateful. She would never say that, but, I just respect her feelings too much to say anything to her that may hit a nerve.

@MrsMcD: I talk to my mom and dh about everything and wouldn't have it any other way. And they're my favorite people to be around.
@Andrea: Awe, thanks!

My BFF is married to DH's childhood BFF. It took us several years to get to know each other, but once we did there was no turning back

@runnerd: my BFF from childhood is also married to my DH's BFF from childhood. She introduced me to my DH and I was like "oh no, not that guy!" We've been together nearly every day since that night. Having best friends like that makes life so much easier. We hang out all the time together. Just got home from their house now. And of course, I check Hello Bee! What up, girls?!?' Happy weekend!!
