We spent our first night at our new house! I was supposed to move in first, but it was a race to move in the week before the wedding, plus I didn't want to live in a big house by myself (we opted not to live together before marriage). So it ended up being super special that the first night in our house we were together!

Hotel! My inlaws were staying at our house, and we got married downtown so we wanted to stay somewhere close to the venue.

We spent the wedding night in our house. Like you and your DH, we hadn't lived together before the wedding, so it was really fun to start our new life in our new rental home together.

We got a taxi and went home! Unlike you, we had lived together for some time before marriage but we refused to spend money on a hotel we would just crash at! It was very unromantic!

We stayed in a hotel, but when we got our room key from the front desk (our family had already checked in for us to drop off our stuff), they gave us the key to the WRONG ROOM! It was a surreal moment, but has made for a great story.

In a minivan! HAHAHAHA
Okay, so we left from our reception to go to our honeymoon right away! (Jamaica) and our flight left from the airport at 6AM that next morning, and the airport was 2 hours away. Soooo we had DH's brother in law drive us to the airport after our reception, and we both fell asleep in the minivan on the way down! hahahahaha Romantic right??

Beach hotel. We had about 8 of the groomsmen pass out at our house. No way I was going back there.

We stayed at a nearby hotel for two nights and then left for our honeymoon early Monday morning. When my H checked in, the hotel heard it was our wedding day and they upgraded us to a huge suite with a view of the Washington monument and gave us champagne. They were so wonderful!

Our house - we lived together and owned a home together before marriage. We thought about staying at a nice hotel, but it was glorious to strip off that gown and spanx and slip into my own bed!!

We got married at a hotel, so we stayed there in the bridal suite

We had an outdoor wedding at a bed and breakfast in my home state. It had a stately old house and beautiful grounds. After the last of our guests left, we meandered down a moonlight path to the house. It was one of the more romantic moments of the entire night because we were finally alone, just the two of us.

@snowjewelz: Hee hee, I found out a week before our wedding date that I was pregnant, I had terrible all day sickness. I couldn't even hide it. To this day, I try not to look at our wedding pictures because my mom told me I was so pale.

Honeymoon suite at the hotel where we had our reception. The living space was a disaster from 8 bridesmaids getting ready there that morning, but the hotel staff did the whole rose petals on the bed thing for us in the bedroom.

The inn where we had our rehearsal dinner offered us a free suite in exchange! The awkward part was that DH's family was staying there - and originally they had booked us a room RIGHT NEXT door! I had to ask them if they could give us a different room far, far away and thankfully they understood and were able to! But we totally ran into them during checkout the next day and it was SOOO freaking awkward - MIL actually turned away and wouldn't even acknowledge me. Bizarre.

@Mrs. Pen: They gave us the option to let someone in the family stay in the only other room at the bed and breakfast. We, uh, declined to tell anyone that it was even an option!

Our reception was at a private club, and we spent the night in a room there.
