We stayed at a bed & breakfast/inn kinda near the venue. I remember one of the best moments of the whole day when we were being driven to the inn from the venue. The night was clear and the air smelled so good, and it was the first quiet that happened all day! We were so giggly and high on love

On an Airplane! I slept the whole 12 hr plane trip!
We had a morning wedding and drove straight to the airport after our breakfast reception. We left the US at 6pm on a Saturday and Arrived in Rome at 2pm on Sunday. I count our wedding night as the first night we spent in Rome.

We stayed in a hotel. Even though we lived 30 mins away.

@BabyMats: Oahu & honeymooned on Maui. We got married at the Hilton Hawaiian Village in Waikiki.

In a dumpy condo. We rented all of the really nice ones to our family and friends and ended up in the one that smelled like mothballs and had 1970's furniture. Haha!! It didn't matter. I think we spent all of 8 hours in there anyways. Most of that time was spent sleeping.

@snowjewelz: we stayed at our house. We were exhausted even though we had a day wedding and pretty much crashed. We also had to leave the next day really early for our flight.

Hotel! And my parents picked us up in the morning to take us to the airport so we didn't have to leave our car. Awkward.

At the country club that had rooms upstairs where we got married. "Free" (after spending 15k of course) room for us for having the wedding there.

A hotel with a friend near the airport. Dh, our friend, and I shared a hotel room before we all took off the next morning. Not a normal arrangement but it was kinda fun.

A cottage on the grounds of the plantation. My girls and I got ready there during the day. It was so cute!
