I want to get Xander a ton of Christmas clothes for the whole month of December, but I don't want to spend a ton of money if possible!
Where do you buy your festive outfits? How many items do you think you need for a month? Any advice?

I bought like 3 outfits on Zulily and then a dress on etsy. Plus her Christmas Eve dress from GAP. I am planing on getting a couple more onesies at Target or Carter's.
I want her in a stuff multiple times every week! And the day after Thanksgiving, she will wear the first outfit!

When I first saw "festive" I thought *festive* . . . .and my instant response was Victoria's Secret!
But now that I know which *festive* I am dealing with, I love Carter's and Mud Pie, to name a couple!

I get a mix of casual and dressy items for Decemember. I usually stick to Old Navy, Carter's, and Target for decent priced stuff.
We have several Christmas parties and Santa stops with picture ops, and I hate to have her wearing the same thing twice...so I do a lot of mix and matching pieces!

@MsLipGloss: hahaha, too funny!!!!
@LuLu Mom: I need to be better at mixing and matching! I'm always buying sets because I'm no good at this, and that's why I always spend a fortune!

Wal-mart always has cheap holiday outfits for babies. And thrift stores often have stuff, too! We have a Mom resale FB page in my area and people are always selling themed outfits.

@Adira: Xander clearly needs this

@Adira: Sometimes the outfits are okay if you the pieces match enough to mix and match. I stopped buying outfits beause she was too long/to thin for shirts/pants. It's crazy how much more I can stretch items when I buy them seperately!

@Adira: Look for outfits with red, green, brown, or black pants. Then after holidays, he can still wear them with another onesie.

I think I'm going to hit up our resale shop for everyday 'festive' wear, and I will probably end up buying some more formal outfits from either Gap or Gymboree when I see a good sale.
It stinks, we don't have any good baby stores in this town... I want to go into a store, dangit, not buy online all the time! Grumblegrumble...

@Smurfette: OMG, adorable!!! He'll match R's dress! If only it wasn't $18!

@Adira: I bought that outfit for my little girl in red last night to wear up at the cottage over New Years! I love it, it looks so cozy! I think the outfit is so cute for boys and girls!
I have a terrible habit of shopping on my iPad while I BF....

Boy festive outfits are a little difficult to come by, I personally do not like the Mini-man look, with suit jackets and the like, so the best I can come up with are one piece things, like plaid overalls, the Janie and Jack nutcracker sweater they do every year and maybe a shirt/sweater vest (check ralph lauren for inspiration).
For babies, I adore the knitted one pieces, I had several.

@shopaholic: And you can be sure he's going to wear it ALL WINTER!!!!
@delight: I definitely agree!! I almost got the red to be more Chirstmasy, but thought it might look a TAD more feminine than the grey! But I agree - it's a good outfit for both genders!
@looch: Thanks for the tips!!

@delight: they have this for girls? At old navy? I gotta check it out!

@shopaholic: it's the same outfit for boys and girls! You can find it under baby boy or girl and comes in the grey, red or cream! I think it's just a gender neutral pattern. It's on sale now too! At least in Canada it is. I got it for $16!
Edit: just looked and in the states it's 30$ but I think there is also a code for 15% off. Not quite the deal us Canucks have
