I don't know if my feet have gotten widen since having kids or what, but I can't seem to find a good pair of shoes that fit. My feet normally are 7.5W, but the only 7.5W shoes that seem to fit are the ones marked for "comfort" and aren't super stylish. I recently got the Cole Haan Bethanny shoes in 8C and even those are too narrow! Help!

Sorting by wide is actually what I just did to buy these new shoes from DSW, but they are still too tight.

But I think my feet got wider during pregnancy. It's annoying! I find Cole Haan to run very narrow I've bought a few pairs (from outlets) and end up giving them away because they are just too narrow- and that was before babies.

You can sort by size and width, but be prepared not to find a lot of cute options.

@Adira: I buy all my shoes on zappos.com and have for several years. I wear a 12W which is impossible to find in stores.
They have free shipping and returns, a 365 day return policy and have always been really easy to work with. I typically buy 5-6 pairs at a time and return 4-5 pair and they've always been great about the returns.
ETA - another option is Nordstroms - they carry a good selection of different sizes (wide, large, small)

I finally went up a half size. Have you tried on 8's? I use a little pad in the front of the heel to keep my foot from slipping too far forward.
Some brands aren't as "pretty" but they are worth it for my feet. Naturalizer is one of my favorites if you can shop around for a good pair.

@T.H.O.U.: My Cole Haan's are an 8C, so I thought they would fit, but they are still too tight. But maybe it's the brand. The shoes I just bought (Nine West) weren't available in 8, so I got 7.5W, but again, still too tight. I think I need extra-wide or something!!

Have you thought about getting arch support inserts? I have a pair of SuperFeet for heels and they helped. I have kind of flat feet but the support makes shoes fit better. Sometimes Dr Sholls inserts work too.

Payless Shoe Source. I found some fantastic wide heels there and then bought more online. Nordstrom is my other best wide shoe suggestion. I can't remember the brand offhand, but they're great for wide heels too. I'm a 10W, so I know the pain of finding wide shoes especially heels.

@cascademom: I actually do have a couple pairs from Payless! I've bought their dexflex comfort shoes (I think that's what they are called) and they actually are more comfortable than other shoes. But I've worn them so much, they are looking worse for wear, and I don't think they have any cute options at the moment!

@Mamaof2: Yes! My wedges are dexflex and they are crazy comfy! But I've worn them so much that they are wearing through and aren't looking so good. Too bad they aren't in stock anymore.

If your Cole Haan's aren't returnable at this point, it might be worth taking them to a cobbler and see if they can stretch them to be better fitting. Just a thought.
