What news outlets do you frequent? I mainly read my news through The NY Times, Globe and Mail, Economist and New
Yorker. I don't watch the news, though does The Daily Show count?

@caffeinated: daily show counts, in my opinion
I read CNN, ny times, and our local paper

@caffeinated: I used to read the Economist religiously but as I got deeper into my career in media and technology, I began to see that a lot of their coverage was not accurate!
So then I started to think that maybe their other coverage was inaccurate too. So much of their content is about international issues that I don't otherwise read about that I decided to stop reading them just in case!

@mrbee: hmm, that's interesting. I like the Economist because of its unbiased coverage (or as unbiased as you can get with news). Was it a few instances where the story was inaccurate, or did you see this as a trend in their reporting?

I don't keep up with the news that much...CNN, local news, USA Today and local newspapers online!

@caffeinated: Well their coverage of tech was pretty bad in general, at least when I was a subscriber. I think their coverage of macroeconomic issues is really strong in general though. I just wish they used bylines, so I could learn who to trust and who to ignore.

@mrbee: oh yeah, i probably wouldnt read the economist for tech news but i would be annoyed if i caught inaccuracies! I mainly rely on them for economics and international issues.
@autumnlove: I love "liking" news outlets through fb so i at least can skim excerpts or headlines!

I read NY times, our local newspaper, watch the local news and sometimes world news on NBC. I never watch CNN or Fox News though.

I read NYT, New Yorker, The Atlantic, Guardian, msnbc, CNN... For a start, anyway... But I'm an information junkie, so I use tons of sources for any given issue.

I get the NY Times in my google reader, listen to NPR, and occasionally watch the local news or skim the local newspaper's website.
We have a local free weekly newspaper that I read every week, and my mom got me a subscription to my home town's newspaper (very small town), and I love reading that once a week.

I read AOL, which links to Huffpost and other places. That's about it!

I never watch the news. I used to get it from my grandma, who did nothing but watch the news, but she passed away. Now I sadly get it from facebook or hellobee, or sometimes DH.

NYTimes, Guardian, New Yorker, and NPR. My brother-in-law writes an economics blog that I get my econ news from (understanding jobs reports, etc.). Sometimes Slate, Salon, and the Atlantic, too. When I visit my parents, I love reading the Boston Globe--bizarrely lurid crime coverage--and the hilarious local newspaper that has front-page pictures of pumpkin carving contests and the like.

I read our local paper mostly, and I'll peruse through the Toronto Star and the National Post online when I have time.

@caffeinated: of course! as you can probably guess from from list of stuff I read, it def leans left: http://lbo-news.com/. He has a radio show, too, which is fab.

CNN.com or local news websites. Or FB. That seems to be a pretty good avenue to be informed about current events. Ha!

I watch CNN when I'm getting ready for work, and then check my local papers online. I have the USA Today app on my phone, and I get notifications whenever there is breaking news. We do get the paper on paper during the weekend, but we mostly look at the ads.

New York Times, Guardian, Daily Mail for guilty pleasure trash-reading (uh, I need to stop with this, actually, since I'm contributing to their page views), NBC Nightly News, CBS Morning News/The Today Show during the weekday mornings, CBS Sunday Morning when I'm not too busy during its air time, 60 Minutes, occasionally will read husband's Economist.

When I was working I'd listen to NPR everyday to and from work. Now I feel like I just don't get the news because I don't listen to Npr as much!

NPR, CNN, BBC, The Atlantic, The Guardian, MSNBC, and HuffPo are my big ones.
