Hellobee Boards

I guess we technically have a mudroom...it's the laundry room right off the garage and it contains the washer/dryer. Shoes are stored in a tall cabinet dedicated just to shoes/boots.

Everything is on shoe racks or baskets in the garage. I keep a few pairs by the front door coat closet for if I have to go out that way (rarely).

We have a foyer (own a townhouse) with a shoe rack. We don't wear shoes inside, so all of our shoes go in that, right inside the coat closet.

A boot mat by the front door is where all of our shoes are.

On a rug next to the front door or in the coat closet by the garage door.

In my closet or on the floor in our room in a pile, haha. I don't wear the same shoes every day... I usually wear different ones each day of the week when I'm working.

We have a mudroom and keep our daily shoes on a plastic boot tray. Our previous home didn't have a mudroom but we used the same boot tray or a cheap ikea door mat at our front door.

@bushelandapeck: a copper tray sounds fancy! Where is yours from?

We have an ikea bench with shoe storage underneath it. It is in the entry hallway by the front door. We are a no shoes house.

Um, everywhere. It's a problem.
1) By the garage door (in our kitchen) half under a little built-in desk, but L likes to take them out and move them around
2) By the door to our deck (in our dining room). These are left here when they're dirty or wet from watering.
3) Between the kitchen and the living room, half shoved under a sofa table. This is when I forget to take mine off at the garage door.
4) At the bottom of the steps going upstairs. This is when I've forgotten the garage door spot AND the living room spot.

A mud room is on my dream list!

Yup, we have a small entrance/mud room area at the garage where we just dump everyday shoes. There's a 6-7ft wide closet there for coats and more shoes. (which is where shoes should go all the time, but we're just too lazy). We have nothing by the front door, but that is only used when people visit.

Garage

Everyone keeps all their shoes in their respective closet {upstairs}, but DH and I each keep a pair of slippers downstairs.

We have the same thing IKEA shoe holder as @Anagram. We live in an apartment where the kitchen/living room is one big room and we enter right into the kitchen. That show rack is nice because it doesn't stick out very far...since we don't have a dedicated entry way it is perfect!

I have a little basket by the door.
