My kids are in need of pajamas, I'm just curious where you guys like to buy pajamas! Does it vary based on age?

We have been sticking with Hanna Andersson, the way they are designed with the cuffs makes them last through a lot of growing for us and they are made so well that even after I retire them they look new and ready to be handed down or sold. Our Carter's jammies cannot claim the same thing on either count.

I'm a fan of Gap (on sale) as my toddler gets bigger. They are softer and seem to hold up better than old navy ones. We have loads of baby Carter's footie pajamas that baby sister is wearing now and I'll definitely be throwing a lot of them out as she outgrows them. Since I have two girls now I'm willing to pay a few dollars more and keep them as hand me downs.
I have never tried Hanna Anderson but may this Christmas...

I can get Carters PJ super cheap with coupons and what not at Kohl's. Otherwise I buy the mystery packs of PJs from Vaenait Baby on EBay. You just give them the size and gender and they send you a grab bag of like 5 PJs. We like the way they fit our son because he is long and skinny.

Carters on sale! We recently got a bunch with trucks on them that he loves.

Old navy often has cute sets! I find they are pretty fitted so I can size up and they don't seem too big and they last a while.

I haven't found a favorite. I usually do Carters because I can get them very cheap on sale, but they wear out so quickly and they seem so hit or miss in terms of how soft they are. Now that she's not growing out of sizes quite as quickly, I will probably try to pick up more at Gap or maybe even splurge on Hanna, when they go on sale.

Carter don't last long but we do have a few of those. I find that Old Navy and Gap last longer. I bought a couple from Uniqlo and they seem to hold their shape and color pretty well. I don't like spending more than $15 on pj...$10 finds are bargains!

I love Hanna Andersson pjs. Like @Cole: said they last a long time and hold up really well. We also have an outlet near us so we usually stock up when they have a sale.

I recently bought some footed ones at children's places for $10 each. We also have a ton from carters , old Navy and gap. I don't think the gap ones have held up quite as well. I recently ordered HA ones on sale so let's see how those hold up.

For one pieces, Pekkala from Costco. Once we switched to separates, Gap.

I ordered some of the wondersuit ones from the bonds Australia website and they are so cute!

My favorites are Hatley but most are Carters because they've been given to us.

Carters. They are so cheap, I never pay more than $5, which allows us to have a bunch in each size. I don't put them in the dryer so that helps with how they hold up. Although for the price I don't worry about what condition they are in by the time DD is done with them.

Gap on sale. They are stretchy and fitted so they last forever. My 3 year old just outgrew her 18-24 month pair that she's worn for the last 1.5 years.

Baby- Carters
Toddler and older - Old Navy
I just bought DS1 a bunch of Gap pajamas at the beginning of the summer and they are already pilling and not feeling very soft. Old Navy have held up great and stay so soft. I've also found Gymboree to wear pretty quickly.

Just Hanna Andersson. I think every pair has come from there since he was about 6 months old. They hold up so well, and fit for so long, it's hard to try anything else at this point.

Love Gap and Hanna Andersson for two piece PJs (which we switched to at 1 yr when LO became impossible to wrangle into one-pieces anymore).
For footed one-piece PJs I loved Tea Collection and Kickee Pants. And HA for those too, actually.

We also just use Hanna Andersson. They're fantastic - we used the one piece and switched to the two piece now that DS is older.

I buy a lot of Skylar Luna pjs on eBay. I find them to be similar quality to Hanna Andersson, but way cheaper since they aren't as popular. I also buy HA when they are on sale or I find a good deal.

Gap or old navy. HA are so so nice but it's hard to stomach the price! Easier for my toddler who has been wearing her Christmas pjs constantly and they still look and feel great.

Petit Bateau. I love the winter fleecy ones and I buy them on sale or at the outlet. They last forever. I want to try HA though since everyone seems to love them.

Carters. I am happy if they last two seasons, and then I get rid of them, because they're pretty worn. I don't have another to pass them down to, so quality isn't of utmost importance.

I like the designs at Carters and Target the best. They last for us and they are nice and soft.

I buy Carters. They're like ~$9/set, which can't be beat. I have no one to hand them down to, and they only last 1-2 seasons before he grows out of them. So I just can't justify HA which cost 4 times as much (no outlet close by).

@ShootingStar: did you know there is a HA outlet in Kittery, ME? It's not too far (though certainly a trip). I only went once right after I had just stocked up on clothes and PJs so couldn't justify buying anything.

@Foodnerd81: I didn't realize there was one at Kittery, though I think there's one at Wrentham, too. But both outlets are close to an hour away. It's hard to get the motivation to go all that way when I'm just 15 mins from the Merrimack outlets, lol. Plus Wrentham kinda scares me, it's so crazy there .

When we moved to two piece Gap and ON. I stock up when I find them on sale/clearance.

@Foodnerd81: How much are the HA pjs at the outlet? Wondering if it's worth the trip as those are our favorites but we only but them at Christmas!

Mainly Carters and some from Gap. Both places I find them for great prices when on sale and they hold up decently.

@HappyBaker: It varies depending on the print and the promotion they have running, but I have gotten them for $10/pair which is pretty darn good in my book.

We usually have 3-5 pairs of HA jams a size (some have been worn by both nephews and look perfect), one or two sets of 2pc long jams and 2 sets of short 2pc from Old Navy or Gymboree. We also usually have a couple pairs of hand me down or gifted Carters footed jams. So all kinds of styles and brands.
wonderful cherry / 21504 posts
@HappyBaker: they were $10 when I was there but it may have been a special sale. But limited size and styles- they had the cutest Christmas print in one size that was between my kids sizes. So maybe not worth the trip only for that.
