My DH gets his clothes from places like Ross, Marshalls, TJMaxx...he doesn't like to spend a lot, but he does like to look good.

DH is of a similar shape - lean, built like a soccer player, with semi-broad shoulders. He's been successful at J.Crew and Banana Republic, but will still occasionally need to have button downs taken in. In the summer, he frequents local surf shops for casual shorts, and tops. He does like a bargain, so he'll hunt at Marshall's and TJ Maxx, and sometimes get lucky.

DH has been getting a lot of his stuff from Kohls lately which is nice when the Kohls cash adds up!

Old Navy has decent button downs, and I think they have a slim fit line.

His suit is from JCrew and his dress shirts are Banana Republic, dress pants and blazers are BR and Gap, but he buys his basics on a tighter budget. His polo shirts are from JC Penny (he likes the St. John's Bay heritage polos), he has a bunch of sweaters from Kohls, and his jeans also tend to come from places like Penny's, Target, or Kohls. He likes American Apparel t-shirts but is typically unwilling to spend the money on those.

@deerylou: you should look into having shirts made for him! DH was a bodybuilder, currently powerlifting, so we've never been able to get off the rack dress clothes to fit him. For our wedding we had a suit made in India from an online company that does custom made clothing, studio suits, and it's super cheap and they're great!

I buy most of DH's clothes at tj maxx, Marshall's or target, lol.

Brooks Brothers. Not cheap but he always looks polished and well-dressed, clothing is great quality, they do free in-house tailoring, and their clothing lasts a very long time.

My DH is also slim fit and buys most of his clothes from Tommy Hilfiger. He also likes shopping at Winners. In the summer he mostly wears Nike dry fit athletic clothing cause he golfs a lot.

I buy pretty much all of his clothes (I joke that it's a win-win: he doesn't have to shop, and I like everything he wears!). Lately almost everything has come from Banana Republic.

Macy's, Sears, Kohl's, or American Eagle.

My husband also needs slim fitting clothes.

We have the best luck at the Levis store (they're stuff is soooooo nice and stylish--not just jeans!) and Nordstrom. Because he needs things to fit slim, we rarely buy online.

For work shirts (just casual button-ups) he wears the slim shirts from Gap. If you don't mind buying online, Zara is also a good option.

you've got to try the Levi's store, though!!!

@Lindsay05: My DH too! He is really into Goodwill. He brags about the deals he gets like an old lady that trolls flea markets.

DH is tall and very slim, he's also very picky about what he wears. He gets all of his stuff online from Patagonia. They have slim fit shirts, and pants for skinny guys that aren't skinny jeans. They also make all of their clothes from recycled clothing material. Everything he owns has held up really well too.

Jcrew, Marshall's, tjmaxx. For dh's button downs we get them from century 21 and he usually wears Ben Sherman. We find that the slim fit works better for him. He also has pants from gap and banana

Brooks Brothers has slim fit dress shirts which are great. My hubs is a big guy (size 18 neck with broad shoulders) but his waist is slimmer so a lot of times dress shirts end up looking bloucy at the bottom. The BB slim fit totally solved this. Bonus... They have wrinkle free shirts!
