We have a Baby Bjorn crib that Baby 2 can sleep in but what about my LO? We plan on taking a trip when LO will be 20 months and B2 will be 4 months old.
Do you cosleep with your toddler when you travel?

I try not to cosleep while travelling. I have a terrible sleep. We had to once during our last trip because the airline lost her crib for a night. So... My LO (20 months) still sleeps and loves her baby bjorn crib. She also still sleeps in it at nanny's house!

Pack n play. If lo were in our bed she would never sleep, she would think it was play time.

DH sleeps with DD and DS sleeps in the crib, usually. I get a bed all to myself!

Hmm, we will have this dilemma soon, too. Can you cosleep with the baby and keep LO in the crib?

@Mrs. Yoyo: We will see! I'm more nervous about co sleeping with a younger baby!

we cosleep with charlie and olive sleeps in the crib. he was 2 1/2 when we did that. if he were younger, it would probably easier to cosleep with the baby and have him in the pack n play. when he was younger, he slept so well in his crib and didn't know how to cosleep.

@autumnlove: Where does your older LO sleep at home? we try and make it as much like home as possible. are you staying in a hotel? When we stayed in a hotel last weekend, 18 month slept in a hotel crib and 4 yr slept on the sofa bed in the sitting area.

oh one night charlie slept in the bathroom while olive slept in a crib because he was so noisy. you could easily turn the bathtub into a makeshift bed haha.

@T-Mom: She still sleeps in a crib right now but we want to transition her to a twin bed around that time. I don't even know if we are going but we want to visit family in Vancouver and will probably stay in a hotel.

I would see if you could get a rollaway bed for E and then the travel crib for BB#2. Or the bathtub trick! lol! +1@Mrs. Bee:

On a little mattress on the floor in a hotel, or in her own little room at grandma's house. Always on a mattress on the floor, or just a pile of thick blankets. Floorbeds rule!

@autumnlove: we have always had good experiences staying in a Hampton inn type place when traveling.. They are pretty no frills but come with fridge and living room which is nice to have while traveling as a family...

We stay in a Hampton Inn suite set up too and put LO in a pack and play in the living room while we stay in the bedroom
@Mrs. Bee: when did Charlie get too big for the pack and play?
admin / watermelon / 14210 posts
@sandy: we didn't travel between the time he was 1 - 2 1/2 because I was pregnant with Olive. He could easily fit into it when he was 2. He transitioned to a regular bed shortly after 2, so we wouldn't have used a pack n play after that.
