Where does/did your newborn nap during the day? Our baby is 11 days old and during the day while I'm recovering on the couch he is snoozing beside me in a bouncer chair.
Did you do something similar? I don't want to leave him all alone in his room yet, and with the amount he is awake eating, it's too much moving around for me to go back and forth at this point during recovery!

When I'm really needing rest, we lay in bed. I bring all the baby items I need into the bedroom..my Boppy, nipple shields, diapers, etc, and put them in arms reach. He naps in the bed beside me or on me or I hold him when he's awake and wants to play. That way I can easily sleep when he sleeps or just relax and watch tv.
If I'm up trying to do things, he usually naps in his swing or sometimes I put him in his PnP and turn the monitor on.

On me/my boobs. Once she was a month it so I really started using the Ergo a lot and she'd do alllll her naps in there.

As a newborn, she'd mostly nap on me. Or we'd set her down on the couch (surrounded by pillows) or in the middle of our bed. It was hard to set her in the bassinet without her waking.

Pretty much on me. Sometimes in the bassinet, but it was hard to put her down.

We didn't feel able to let her nap in a different room so we *tried* to let her nap in the moses basket but honestly 99% of the time it was on my boob/in my arms. I don't regret it though, it was a lovely time of cuddles

Kidding, sort of. I was blessed with one of those newborns who never slept - but when she did doze off it was in the bouncer, swing or rock & play. Our (her) preference changed as the weeks went on.

At 10 days he most naps on one of us, but when we put him down it's in the RnP next to the couch. When I feel like he's really napping I try to swaddle him and put him in the PnP in our room. He doesn't usually stay there for more than an hour.
I haven't really been napping when he does though I have a hard time sleeping during the day...and DH is still home.

RNP, swing, boppy, or in my arms. She didn't start napping in her crib until about 7 weeks.

On one of us, her bassinet in our room, her crib in the nursery, or on a blanket in whatever room we were in. When she's out, she's out. I just used the video monitor if we had her in the bedroom or nursery.

On us, on the couch or in her bassinet. At about 4 weeks old I started putting her down for naps in her crib.

LO 1 liked to nap in the swing. LO 2 hated everything except the PnP bassinet in a dark and quiet room.

He sometimes napped on me or DH, we usually tried to get him down in his crib if possible. DS is only 4.5 mos and I already barely remember!

On me, in the rnp, in the cosleeper, in the moby, in the boba, in the car seat, in the baby bjorn bouncer. Anywhere we could put her safely!

All over! On one of us, in the bassinet, the car seat, the bouncer, the stroller and even in her crib. She hasn't been too picky and will sleep most places.

@Smurfette: same thing. If I needed to get up, I'd but him in his bouncer or onto a blanket on the couch.
But we started to put him to sleep in his crib once his sleep was a little more organized at around 4-6 weeks. When we were out'n about he'd sleep anywhere. In the carrier, the car seat, stroller...

Mamaroo / car seat / stroller.... Basically anywhere but her crib! Finally at 5 months we went cold turkey and put her in her crib for each nap. It was a rough few days but after that she got the hang of it !

@Smurfette: B did that a lot too, it took me awhile to figure out moro reflex - I then but him down on his side or on his tummy and it started to work
