I'm here! It's 4.30pm here in the UK. I've been off work today so I went sale shopping - the shops were manic!! I've missed all the good bargains anyway so I just wandered around for a bit.

I'm back, where did everyone go? It does seem like the boards have picked up though!
I ran to Marshalls and got some Christmas board books for 60% off (4/$9), I got a pair of white Native shoes for $10, and a new more modern style black clock for our repainted kitchen ($20).

@Thehistoryofus: I'm here! I went to lunch and took a long one because, ugh. I ended up grabbing a bunch of cute newborn clothes for the bun at a local consignment store for less than $50 -- about 7 pants/onesie sets and some sleepers. So we should be set on clothes for the kiddo for a while!

I think LO is finally (mostly) napping...he's still suckling but his body is all sack of potatoes. It's his first nap today...been up since 7AM (EST, it's close to 2 now). He's been super cranky, fighting sleep and pooping a ton. I can see his second tooth popping through, so I'm guessing he's in pain so I gave him a little bit of Tylenol.
Nothing interesting going on today...I'm hungry but am unwilling to move--he's not deep enough asleep for me to move him without waking him up--so I'm been eating the mini Reese's peanut butter cups that are (unfortunately) within arms reach.

@ladyfingers: Thats great! I love consignment clothes. It stinks because they get more expensive as they get older.

@FutureMrsMcK: Enjoy! Those moments do pass! That is a long time to be up with no nap!

LO *finally* fell asleep so im watching tru tv and heating up lunch. Wishing more people were around to chat to.

@Thehistoryofus: Yeah, we were both pretty much in tears by the time he finally fell asleep. He usually goes down 1.5-2 hours after he wakes up...3 hours at the very max...so today was unusual and rough on both of us. Poor baby.

I'm so bummed I missed the postathon last night. I got home from work at 9 and went straight to bed. I'm such an old lady. I'm already home from work today and I think I'll take a nap!

Hey all,
I am new (long time lurker). I got married a short while ago (woot!) and we will be TTC in the near(ish) future. I thought I would finally join so I could lessen the creeper factor of stalking

Hi ladies! I'm here too now that LO is down for his nap. We had our 32 week appointment this morning- baby is super but we're thinking of switching to a different doctor because I'm not sure we're on the same page.

We are lounging now, but we've been doing returns and other holiday stuff still.

@Baby Boy Mom: That stinks! What are some of the problems you're having with the provider?

@Baby Boy Mom: Oh boy... switching doctors is never fun.

@ladyfingers: Well I wanted to go through my birth preferences- going to try to go as natural as possible because I think that's my best chance for a successful VBAC. But I felt sort of brushed off, like he said he was supportive, but thought a doula was kind of a joke and laboring in water was unsanitary and all kinds of little things. I guess it was mostly a feeling, but I don't think he understands that another c-section would be really hard for me with a toddler at home and no family around. DH and I agreed that we would keep going to him for now, but also make an appointment with another doctor.

@Baby Boy Mom: Are there any midwife practices near you? They'd be super supportive of a VBAC!

@JoJoGirl: I have no idea. We're in Mexico so we go privately to any doctor we want and any hospital we want, but it's a little intimidating without having personal references to just choose a practice.

I'm here. I noticed the boards were super slow this morning. LO is napping in my chest and I'm on here and also reading The No-cry Sleep Solution.

@REESE: your avatar is super cute!
Is anyone else feeling off today? I don't feel sick, just odd. Like a bird with ruffled feathers or a cat who has had it's fur stroked the wrong way

@SweetMamaM: yes! The holidays threw me. I had a major meltdown Christmas eve.

@Thehistoryofus: it's so irritating, am glad DH is out for the afternoon so I can wallow in my discontent. It has been so horribly humid here, I wonder whether that is part of it!

@Jennimac: Thanks! ,@SweetMamaM: Thank you! Choosing an avatar was a much harder decision than I thought it would be!
