Where is your dining room table from?

We don't have one right now, we sold it ~2 weeks ago and I haven't found one to replace it yet!

We get ours from Craigslist though, always. We get a cheap table, fix it up, keep it for a bit and then resell it.

    @ChitownRo: Oooh, bookmarking!
We have a pub height table from rooms to go that is old and was gifted to my husband like 8 years ago. Its getting a little shaky and I'm over the pub height.

Vintage IKEA. She's solid wood (pine, but whatever), has lived in 4 different states, and has been with me longer than my husband!

craigslist - it's ashley furniture so it's not very solid but it was definitely a deal.

Ours is from West Elm. It's a square table that seats 4, but it does have a self-contained butterfly leaf to seat 6 comfortably or 8 if you squeeze a bit! I like this table because we don't have to find a home for the leaf. We just need to pull the table apart and pop it out.

Ours came from a local chain called Jordan's, but it's a brand available everywhere, called Canadel.

How are you with power tools? We are building our own hardwood dining table in a few years and this is the plan we are using:

    And this finish:

@TemperanceBrennan: I looooove ana white. After seeing her site, I now mentally break down like every piece of furniture I see to determine if I can just build it.. And most the time, it's yes!

But we bought our table and chair set from wayfair.com.

We bought ours from a local chain, Jordan's, which has a colossal clearance center. We got 4 fully upholstered modern chairs and a circular table (you can insert a leaf to make it an oval) for less than $500 total and I loooooove it.

@runnerd: I love your table! What seller did you buy from?
ETA: ok I'm an idiot and just saw that you already shared the name. Regardless, the table is beautiful

@TemperanceBrennan: dh is really handy. Hes practically rebuilt.our whole house. It's an option but we want a removable leaf. So adding in a track complicates things a bit. It has to run smooth like butter or it will drive dh crazy.

And we still have so many house projects im not sure he'll want to add another into the mix.

We'll have to compare cost of material and time versus retail price!

I bought ours off Craigslist, it's from Cost Plus World Market. I stocked cl forever looking for this very table. It came with 4 chairs and a bench.

I bought it from my great aunt's 'estate' sale. My extended family was trying to sell everything and I wanted to keep it in the family. I think it was the only 'big' sale they made.
