Our laundry room is behind the kitchen!

We live in a split level house and ours is on the landing between the main level and the basement. (It sounds like our house is huge but it's just split up)

down the hall of our apartment complex... bahhh!!!

If we owned a house and I had an option I would have a medium sized laundry room!!

Our laundry room is between the family room and the garage.

In the hallway in between the kitchen and the kids' room. There really anywhere else it could be in our apartment!

We have side by sides in a laundry closet upstairs off of our loft. It's right outside of the master. I LOVE having the laundry upstairs so when I do a serious laundry day I can have everything spread out in the loft but it's still hidden upstairs if someone comes over unexpectedly.

Ours is down the hall in our condo/apartment building. It's literally 5 steps down the hall from us, so closer than in lots of houses, but it's shared with the building so you shouldn't just leave your stuff there when it is done washing and drying and sometimes it's full-- not often, though, since a lot of the condos have their own. @mrs. bird: It's always open-- there are only 14 or so units in the building and I would guess at least half have their own washer/dryers.

Our laundry room is off the same hallway that our bedroom is.

In our house we have a small laundry area in between the door to the garage and and another door to the hallway. Tight, but better than the garage (how I had it growing up). In our old apt. It was tucked in a hallway closet, which I have to admit was really convenient.

Top floor (2-story) with the bedrooms....where all the clothes are anyways....nice treat and I know I will want it nearest the bedrooms in any future homes!

@mrs. bird: I have no idea!! They must give up their weekend to do it. I know I was bummed and felt like a failure for giving it up but it just wasn't practical... And at $1 to wash, $1 to dry it would have become more $$ than sposies

Ours is in its own room by the door leading to the garage. My ideal location is upstairs between the bedrooms in its own room. I hate having to carry the laundry basket up and down. I also want an area to fold clothes. What we have now works though.

We have a laundry room on the second floor in between all the bedrooms. It's kind of awesome because we don't have to haul clothes up and down flights of stairs like we used to. It is, however, a smaller laundry room than the ginormous one we used to have in the old house... (better for clutter though!)

Ours is in the laundry room which is right off of the foyer. It is a lot better than in our old apartment where it was in a closet in the hallway

Ours is in between the living room area and the guestroom area. It's basically a long hallway with a large window facing the backyard and a door at each end.

Ours is down the hall from the kitchen, by the powder room and door to the garage. I LOVE having a separate laundry room, and prefer having it on the first floor. I don't spend time upstairs during the day, so its location makes more sense for daily work/chores. It's also quiet and very convenient for storing our other cleaning stuff.
