I have to go to a business meeting on Friday where I will be meeting several important people for the first time. I don't feel great about my body right now, so I really want to wear a dress that gives me confidence. I'm envisioning something structured and flattering, in a bright color.
I went to Ann Taylor, Ann Taylor LOFT, & Banana Republic yesterday with zero success. They only have a few options and their sizes are very picked over. Any suggestions on stores to hit up today?

you could try H&M or even Old Navy... sometimes I get a gem there that looks more expensive than it really is.

I usually go old school for dresses and hit up a department store like Macy's or Dillard's. They always have the widest selection.

I second White House Black Market, The Limited, NY & Company: i usually have pretty good luck for work stuff at these places! (I'm required to wear skirts/dresses!) The Limited is my favorite to be honest, they seem to fit my body the best and really hold up well.
Edit: Target also has some nice work dresses right now! And the price is always cheap and the quality looks good!

J crew has conservative dresses that you can wear to work but are in fun patterns or bright colors. A little pricey but the quality is very good and it will last you several years.
