@Mrs. Pen: There's a small handful of items in person at Target. Maybe a bigger selection online there?

Belabumbum has nice activewear. Ingrid & Isabel (target carries their cheaper brand beMaternity). Cake maternity for bras.

I found sizing up in stuff from tj maxx to be the best option, plus I didn't feel weird wearing them post partum. I did get some work out capris from old navy but I feel like I have to pull them up a lot.

Moving comfort makes sports bras that adjust at the top of the cup, so they work well for nursing post partum too.

I got some non maternity tanks with ruching on the sides in one size up at kohls. I think they're meant to adjust up/down in length, but work for adjusting out for a bump, too! brand is Tek Gear

@Mrs. Pen: are you asking for a "friend" ...

I size up. At 24 weeks, I can still fit my running capris quite well because of the wide waistband.

I stuck with ON but zulily seems to have a lot of options rotating through.

@Mrs. Pen: I sized up in regular work out clothes - went from a small to a medium to a large by the end and then wore them again in reverse as I lost the baby weight

These aren't maternity tanks but I bought a bunch in a size medium and wore them for all my workouts. They were so comfy and stretched comfortably until the very end!

@regberadaisy: lol exactly
@Silva: @Mamaof2: @avivoca: I think that'd be fine for workout tops, but for bottoms I would just think that they'd fall down! I already experience that issue with regular leggings and prefer to get high rise so they stay put! I hate tugging and pulling things up during workouts.

I wore my normal workout capris (typically old navy) throughout my pregnancy, I just kept them under the bump. I sized up and got flowy style tanks for when my shirts were creeping up (so annoying!) or I wore t-shirts.

@Mrs. Pen: the problem with non-maternity workout tops, I'm finding, is I've been wearing my regular ones (yay stretchy spandex haha) buuuut they're getting a little short at the bottom now I've mostly decided I don't care because I'm only going to the gym in my apartment building anyway, but if that would bother you, maternity tanks might be better. Old Navy does seem to have some nice options, and good sales right now! http://www.oldnavy.com/products/maternity-workout-wear.jsp

@Mrs. Pen: Haha, like @regberadaisy: I also assumed you were asking for a "friend." (Congrats?!)

I do crossfit, so there's a lot of squats and moving around. I normally prefer shorts over capris but maternity activewear shorts basically don't exist. I could wear my lululemon shorts until 24 weeks. At 27 weeks, I can wear one pair of regular capris from Nike but they roll a little. I have liked Old Navy capris the best. I think they're flattering with good stretch and they haven't rolled on me. I hated Target's. Tried their brand and the Ingrid & Isabel brand. They didn't feel like they'd last long over the bump and they slid down majority just walking around. So far my regular bras and lululemon shirts fit.
I'm SUPER impressed at those who can still wear their prepreg workout capris all the way through. I'm carrying high and haven't gained a ton of weight but my workout capris are screaming for help. KUDOS! Also, I can I say I just hate maternity clothes generally. I'm ready to have a waist again.

@pregnantbee: @Boogs: lol nope, not yet. But possibly TTC very soon. Just waiting to see if DH gets a job offer we're waiting on!
I'm just thinking of the (hopefully very) near future

@mrsjd: yeah those are the types of workouts I do, so I want something that will hold up to it! I saw old navy has a maternity active line so I'll likely try that.. And maybe stick with elastic waistband shorts as long as possible lol

@pregnantbee: I'm so excited to start trying! I wish I could now, but DH needs a job lol

Well this is exciting!
But working out and maternity don't mix for me.

@Mrs. Pen: Reading through my prior post, it wasn't sure clear. I should have specified that I liked Old Navy's maternity capris the best. Pre-pregnancy I like Nike.
Absolutely! Elastic waist!

@Mrs. Pen: I haven't had any issues with them falling down, but I'm only halfway through. I can let you know as time goes on!

I was able to wear Old Navy capris under my belly. I worked out at home so I just wore a sports bra and no top.

@Mrs. Pen: I have a pair of For Two capris that I really like. They are very supportive and the belly panel can be completely folded down, worn half up/half down, or all the way up. I wear them multiple times a week, and they have held up beautifully (I am almost 31 weeks).
@Mrs. Pickle: I do the same thing (sports bra and no top)!

I have no advice on bottoms -- I have always carried high, so I can usually get away with wearing any non-maternity low-rise type of bottoms.
For tops, I have a couple tanks from Lucy that are extra long (and I'm also extra short). And in the event I didn't want to just wear a tanktop, I'd layer one of those underneath a regular workout shirt that (at that point) was just super short. I've also done similar with some of the long Mossimo wife-beater type tanks from Target.
I'm pretty sure you're tall-ish (or at least, not short), so those suggestions may not be particularly helpful!
