@ninja: thanks for the review. I'm leaning more and more towards this car seat, especially with the good review from @MamaMoose

@Mrs. Yoyo: How tall was your LO when he outgrew the Marathon RFing? Xander's tall, so I want to make sure whatever I get will last for a while RF - we want to RF for at LEAST 2 years.

I went with the Clek Foonf because it is a beast . . . it really is a big azz seat though, although I was plenty willing to sacrifice the space for the seat and safety. I didn't care about the price because I would rather spend the money on an uber safe seat than on another expense (and I do realize that I am very fortunate to have the option to make that choice). Truly, I know there are lots of awesome seats out there though, and at the end of the day, the seat is only as good as its installation!

@Adira: Maybe 33-34 inches? That's just a rough guess. They don't have a numeric height limit RF -- it's when your LO has less than an inch of shell above his head. That could mean slightly different heights for different LOs depending on how they're built.

@Mrs. Yoyo: Yeah, I guess they wouldn't have a height limit because it depends on if your kid has a longer torso or longer legs! Gahhh... Xander's a tall baby and I WAS leaning towards the Evenflo Symphony, but now I think I might need to do more research!

We have a Britax Boulevard and we just switched our seat to front facing at 32 months. We also have the Graco My Ride and the seat has the exact same dimensions as the BLVD, but somehow, my son still has room in that seat to be rear facing. I think it is because of the way the seat reclines.

We just got a Britax and I like it because I know it's one of the best brands, but my issue with it is I wish I would have gotten one with adjustable straps, we have to move htem up as she grows. This is a pain.

@MsLipGloss: What kind of car do you have? Wondering if it will be too big for my Accord.
@Adira: so overwhelming isn't it? This might be a case were I give DH a list of some and have him do the research

we have 1 britax advocate and 1 britax pavilion that we bought for GREAT deals at nobetterdeal when ds was around five months? we JUST started using them when ds was around 8 months. we bought them both for $350. GREAT PERFECT condition.

eta: the pavilion is in my small car (pontiac g6) and the advocate is in dh's honker (expedition)

@MsLipGloss: How easy is the Clek Foonf to install/remove? For the price, I'd love to be able to just get one and then leave it at daycare during the day (Hubs does drop-offs and I do pick-ups), but I wasn't sure that would be doable with that car seat. What do you think?

@Adira: I don't think you would want to reinstall that seat that often. It was kind of a bear to install . . . we are planning on having a second seat for DH's car when LO starts daycare in a month or two.

@MsLipGloss: Thanks for the info! I think this is one of the reasons I'm leaning towards the Evenflo Symphony - it's supposedly really easy to remove/install and other parents leave their Evenflos at daycare. I just hope it's big enough that he can RF until he's 2...
