If you were kid-free for a week or two, where would you travel with your SO?
We'd probably go to Japan... Mrs. Bee would like to go, and there are a few places I'd love to show her!
You?

Somewhere all inclusive so we could just DRINK. And SLEEP.

@mrbee: Haha! That would suffice! But I'd be too tempted to go home!

@mrs. wagon: Wow, so you'd turned down a free two-week kidcation! Haha you must love your kids more than I love mine... I could use a kidcation!
blogger / watermelon / 14218 posts
@mrbee: Haha nope, I'd gladly take a break from the kids.. I just get really homesick and have trouble sleeping anywhere but my own bed. Especially when I'm drunk.

@mrs. wagon: ah so you love your bed more than I love mine!

Probably India? Just because it's somewhere I dearly want to go, but I don't want to bring LO at this age.

It's hard to say. I would love to travel somewhere far -- Japan, Korea, Hong Kong, London, Paris, etc. The one thing stopping me is the guilt that I left my kids behind. I want them to experience it too!

@mrbee: Japan is pretty kid friendly! I am here now and other than the fact that restaurants are tiny with no place to put your stroller I am finding it pretty easy with a toddler.
If there were no danger factor to consider I would go on a safari in Africa.

@mrs. wagon: My DH is like that! Whenever we go on vacation, no matter how nice and comfy the bed is, he grumbles that he misses sleeping in our bed. It really baffles me because we do NOT have that nice of a bed! lol
If money was no object I'd love to visit Europe. I've never been out of the country and would love to see Paris, although DH would probably be a bit intimidated by not speaking the language and would just want to stick to the UK and visit London and some important Beatles places like Liverpool (he's a total Beatles nut.) A tropical vacation like Hawaii also sounds very nice!
If money was an issue and I had to stick to somewhere here in the US...hmm, my baby isn't even a year old, so I think I could probably get away with one more kid-free Disney World trip before we have kids that are old enough to get mad that they're not coming too I'm probably the only person on earth who would choose a destination full of kids for my kid-free vacation, but whatever. Haha!

We plan to take a trip to Europe sans kiddo in the next year or two, probably for our 5th anniversary. Just need to find family willing to watch her for a week!

We would go to Hawaii again. We went there for our honeymoon and talk about going back all the time!

Somewhere exotic like the Maldives or Seychelles so we can go scuba diving.

One of our favorite beachy places ... like the Maldives or St. Barths for something closer.

Maybe Machu Picchu? Or if we couldn't afford that I'd be happy with an all inclusive somewhere in the Caribbean.
wonderful olive / 19353 posts
Somewhere to get my adrenaline fix. Scuba diving somewhere beautiful would be awesome!

@mrs. wagon: we went on an all inclusive vacation to Jamaica when DS was 6 months old...I came back pregnant! Haha
We'd probably want to go somewhere all inclusive again...except I wouldn't come back pregnant...I hope! Lol

@mrs. wagon: I'm with you, sister! Give me a week of booze, food, and sleep, on the beach, and I'm a happy lady.

Jamaica ... Sandals whitehouse specifically... Heaven on earth!
We are heading to Florida next month for some baby free time... Golf for dh, disney for me ! It will be nice to get away for a few days and spend time together.

I don't even have kids yet, but it feel like if I did, my answer would be Costa Rica. OK, I just really want an excuse to go back to Costa Rica!!

I'd go to NYC, San Francisco, or Vancouver. Actually, I'd go anywhere. Kid-free is a breather in itself, it wouldn't matter where I was!

I told DH if we are somehow still not pregnant by the end of this year we're going to Northern Europe/Scandinavia! Always wanted to fly to Sweden and take a cruise that hits a few cities.

A week or two probably Mexico for an all-inclusive vacation.
For a weekend, probably Niagara Falls or P.E.I.

@mrbee: haha yep! I'm just a homebody. Once we were in a 5 star hotel, getting room service and even an in-room massage while watching a movie. And I still said "I wanna go home..." Poor Wagon Sr. Haha.

@snowjewelz: we went on a Northern European cruise and it was fantastic! You should go!
I'd go to Africa - either Egypt or on a safari in Kenya.
Or somewhere where we can just drink and sleep, like MrsWagon said!

@GrapeCrush: ruh roh... ok I'll stay home @littlebug: yes, I'll join you for that week... sounds so heavenly!
