yet to be put together: radio flyer 4 in 1 bike, step2 motorcycle, basketball hoop

planning on buying: art easel, kitchen, tool bench, and outdoor: water table & sand box.

This has been MY main reason for the basement renovation. DH's mancave was a fleeting thought.

UGH, no wonder our house is so cluttered. And we're getting a play kitchen for Christmas! Gonna get rid of the remaining items then.

@hilsy85: Is the music table put away because he's not interested anymore? I wanted to get one for M eventually but may skip it if he was only interested for a few months.

How are y'all storing these large items? We tossed all the boxes when we assembled the item.

swing - put away in garage, debating if I even want to keep this for baby #2 since it takes up so much dang space!

bouncer - in garage

exersaucer - put away, ready to be sold at yard sale

radio flyer 4 in 1 trike - keep this in spare room

FP house - part of toy rotation so only comes out once every 3 weeks

walker - debating about getting rid of this

@Alivoo01: we bought a large container for the swing and dissembled it and I think DH managed to squeeze the bouncer in there too.

And I think we need to get a pushing walker soon! Argh. It's crazy how overrun the house is with big stuff, but I really need a "baby holder" for every part of the house so I can keep her safe when I need to do things. I think once she starts walking I can put away the exersaucer, jumper, and Bumbo.

@Alivoo01: We disassemble as much as possible, put into a huge plastic bag and store in the basement.

In Storage/Put Away:

swing, exersauser, jumper, bouncer (borrowed), baby gym, R&P, music table, walker, a bag full of baby toys (random sizes), PNP (although we still use this on trips).

Out Currently:
Plastic slide (outside), Cozy Coupe, Zany Zoo, Rockin Riding Pony, Kitchen (basement play area), Battery powered 4-wheeler (basement)

Under Tree:
personal chair, playhouse (will go in basement & then outside once nice)

@hilsy85: We will use the coupe outside once it's nicer! Right now it is in our living room (thanks DH ) The 4-Wheeler was for her birthday from grandma & grandpa she loves it...it gives me a heart attack!

@hilsy85: Oh I know! I know they only have a very limited life right now. But I keep the Bumbo and Jumperoo in our master right now so I can brush my teeth, put on make-up, fold laundry, etc. And the exersaucer so I could do Christmas stuff. Otherwise, she is crawling around everywhere these days! I can't imagine having a The Cozy Coupe in the house anytime soon. I think I'd have to give up some adult furniture space for that! lol.

@pregnantbee: My mom just bought my DD the vtech train, so I am glad to hear it's a hit!!!

We have the jumperoo and a swing. Hoping to put the swing away soon but I just can't let go because she will still tolerate it!

He's getting a zany zoo and chair from us for Christmas. My dad bought him a high chair and a Vtech walker for Christmas.

We have a playroom, which makes life a lot easier. The only thing in our living area is the playmat. The bouncer is upstairs. Everything else is stashed in the playroom.

Way too much...

Kitchen, table + chairs, slide, fisher price home, cozy coupe, three riding toys, rocking horse, tool work place, v tech train, tent, crawling tube thingy, train table... And this is just in her downstairs play room.

We put away her infant stuff (jumperoo, swing, etc)

Big wooden dollhouse (probably a year or two down the road at least)

Honestly though, we live in an apartment with a big, rectangular living/dining space, so not a lot of nooks and crannies to "hide" toys in...this makes even relatively small toys like the B. Toys instrument set, or some of her Little People sets, seem pretty big and obtrusive. I have been working really hard on doing better toy rotation to avoid clutter.
