We went by Amazon reviews I hate comparison shopping so we just crowd source. Diono seemed a clear winner in our 10 mins of research.

We have a clek in my car where he rides 99% of the time. My mom and DH both have a Britax seat in their cars.

We have the Chicco NextFit which we love. Haven't been able to get a tighter install with any other seat.

We have Foonfs and just bought E a pink Fllo to move her to when T moves out of the bucket. It had great reviews, I liked the construction of it and the rationale behind it, and I LOVE that it sits up so high. E was immediately happy in it and could look around, so now we are buying all the same car seats. Also i like that you can put 3 side by side in the back of a Honda CR-V. I also knew that it had big height limits, and figured all my kids would be on the taller side.

Clek Foonf, which we bought for the high rear facing limits but also because it sat high and we were hoping to end the miserable car rides. It worked and was totally worth the $$ to no longer have a screaming baby in the car.

We have a Peg Perego and a Chicco NextFit. Love the Peg Perego, not at all a fan of the NextFit.

Chicco NextFit in both our cars, love the easy install and it was reviewed as good for tall kids.

Foonfs because I wanted high rear facing limits, and because they are so cute. I always thought our infant seats were ugly and I wanted something cuter for our convertibles. I know that's sort of a dumb reason, but oh well!

Maxi Cosi Pria in DH's car and Evenflo SureRide in mine. I like both (LO is 2 and still RFing so both have high limits), but I find the SureRide much easier to tighten (and it's about 1/3 of the cost).

We have a couple. DD1 is in harnessed boosters. a Graco Nautilus 3-1 in our car and Evenflo Maestro in my inlaws. DD2 is in a Britax Marathon in ours and a Cosco Scenera in my inlaws.

We got a Combi Coccoro bc we don't own a car and didn't want to spend the money for an infant carseat. The Combi is a small compact convertible so she will be able to use it til about 3 yrs.

We have a Foonf because it's made in Canada, has high RF limits, has a steel frame, sits up high (DD LOVES this) and is easy to install. I absolutely love it and will buy another for this baby when it's time. When i thought about the fact that we would be using it multiple times a day for 4 years, I didn't mind spending the extra $.

peg perego. Got a good review on car seat lady's blog, and good reviews on amazon, and it looks really nice.

We have a Graco My Ride 65. I really like it, the fabric is nice and it's a wide seat so she has plenty of room. It fits well in our small car (Nissan Versa). I also liked the price.

@blackbird: I'm looking at both Fllo and Foonf. Why are you getting Fllo instead of another Foonf?
GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts
@BandDmommy: It is pretty. We have the pink one, black plastic. She loves it more then the one in DH's car since it sits up higher. Which was great when she was still RF. It tightens much easier the Nextfit.

@Smurfette: I hate the car seat we have currently for DS. DH picked it out so he has no vote this time.

Clek Foonf, once seeing it and having it in my car, I can really appreciate how safe it is and how different it is than other seats (I replaced Britax advocates with Clek Foonfs). Also, because it sits up so high and allows for so much leg room, my 2.5 yo is rear facing with no complaints.

Clek Fllo. I wanted a Clek because I liked the fabric and the fact that they are high up, and we chose the Fllo because it was less expensive and more lightweight, plus a tiny bit shorter (we have a Honda Fit). We got the pink one and I love it. Bonus is that LO gets carsick alot these days and the Fllo fabric is pretty easy to clean and hasn't retained any smells or anything.

@BandDmommy: Because it was on sale for significantly less because it was a damaged box. And it was hot pink, which I knew E would like (and be more likely to not throw huge fits about T using "her" seat). I couldn't find any significant info to indicate that spending more meant it was better.

We have a Peg Perego in my car and a Chicco Nextfit in my husband's car. I really like both.

We have the Graco Mysize 70. I got it because it has one of the highest RF limit on the market and I knew I wanted to extended RF. Cost was also a factor for us. We needed to buy two seats and could manage that with the Graco seats. It would have been difficult for us to drop 600-800 on carseats at once. We've really loved this seat. I just turned him FF at 3.5 and this seat will last us until he's ready for a booster.

To answer on how I chose our convertibles...one I chose because I liked the cow print (Britax) and because I was familiar with the brand, this was in 2010.
The other I chose after doing some research, reading this board and price (Graco).

Diono in mine and Evenflo in DH. Evenflo is our travel car seat also.

I read Mrs. Milk's blog post about them, since it came at the perfect time. Love our Evenflo Symphony.

We have a Clek Foonf. We knew we wanted to extended RF, and my kids are on the bigger side but I drove a sedan at the time. Our finalists were the Diono, the Nextfit and the Foonf. I didn't want to fuss with an angle adjuster, and the Foonf took up less room front-to-back than the Nextfit. Plus it was the only one DD didn't fuss and squirm in when we tried them. She loves it and is happily RF at almost 3. We love that it's so sturdy, sits up high and is easy to clean and install.

Diono Radian! I was sold when I saw three of them installed in a row in a friend's CRV. (We have a CRV as well and are planning on 3).

Basically the same answer as @kiddosc: We have two Graco MySize 70s for Xander. We needed two and we wanted to rear-face as long as possible and these were rated well and affordable!
Now I have two more (except the 65s because they don't make the 70s anymore) for Logan because we liked them so much.

Graco4Ever because it was the best fitting car seat for my civic that was in our ideal price range.

Chicco Nextfit was the first one we purchased, chosen for high RF limits and because it was easy to install and fit well in the cars we had at the time (small sedans). We also have a Combi Coccoro that he's outgrown but we'll use for the next one. In DHs car we bought a Graco-in-1 - similar to the Graco forever but without backless booster mode. It's also nice though not as easy to install.

@JoJoGirl: same.
Thinking of getting an Evenflo that's really on sale for our other car.
