Last time we had such an easy time with both. This time we lucked out with a girl because bit names were really hard. We couldn't agree on any and I wasn't even that crazy about the ones in my top 5.

We have three times as many names on our girl list as we do on our boy list. I feel like among boys, there is a small number of very popular normal-sounding names, and once you get past those on the baby names list, you're in weird-stuff territory. So it's a choice between baby boy having the same name as everyone else in his class, or having an off-the-wall name that nobody can pronounce or spell. Much harder than girl names. There are tons of pretty, normal-sounding girl names.

For us, boy names are easier. We decided on B's name easily and already have another name locked down if we choose to have another. It is impossible for us to agree on girl names.
