I thought I'd start with The Lion King because LO loves animals. I watched it a few weeks ago, and man, I guess I forgot that it was based on Hamlet and super sad. That will be one of the last ones I let her see. I'll probably let her watch one of the princess movies first even though I'm sort of anti-princess. But I remember being scared of Snow White as a little girl...hmmm...Interested to see what others say.

We've talked about this before. Right now it's between Beauty and the Beast (my pick), The Lion King (DH's pick), and Dumbo (it's shorter than the others). I think mine will win though because she loves all of the songs from The Beauty and the Beast that she's heard on Pandora.

She's only 9 months, but we watched the lion king the other day! It's DHs favorite movie of all time and she loved the animals in it!

We tried dumbo, but she didn't sit for three seconds.

I'm trying to think of one that wouldn't be scary...the Lion King is so sad at times! Dumbo sounds like a good option; I still remember watching it when I was really young.

We started with lion king.
We have added a few others Nemo (she loves fish), Dumbo (she loves animals) and 101 Dalmatians (loves dogs). . Also Mulan and Little Mermaid but she wasn't interested in those.
Note all of these we just turn on instead of cartoons. It's not like she literally sits and watches for two hours.

Probably the Lion King. It is my favorite disney movie eevvverrrr (I have hakuna matata tattooed on me....).
Then lion king 1 1/2.
Then lion king 2.

LO has seen cars, toy story, monsters inc and wall-e. his favorite is wall-e though he loves may may (mater) from cars. Cars was first.
