My friends are much more patient with their SO! I have loads of patience for LO and kids in general. Adults, not so much. Well, specifically DH. I'm working on it!

Probably more patience for DH on average. Though when he annoys me, the annoyance lasts longer than with the kids lol.

I have WAY MORE patience with my kids than DH, but he is pretty good!
I just think I have more patience for young kids in general! I am a first grade teacher and look at the middle school teachers thinking I would lose my Sh*t....lol
When you are old enough to know better and KNOW better I can't deal

DH always picks up his toys and doesn't get annoyed about having to go to the bathroom, so I'm more patient with him.

@Beehive: My husband doesn't get annoyed by having to go to the bathroom, but he sure spends his sweet time in there

I was just recently accused by DH of having infinitely more patience with the LOs than him - so guess there's my answer

OMG. not even close.. I have wayyyyyy more patience for my LO than DH.. sometimes I feel bad about how snippy I get to DH..
ETA: but I feel like that's bc LO is young and I look at the things she does as learning and making mistakes to grow/learn/develop... DH is a grown up and should know better..... is that terrible?

So much more patience for my kids, especially when illness is concerned.

so much more patience for my LO than my DH! Of course I feel like my DH whines a bit more than LO haha...

So much more for LO. She's only 4. DH should know better and should have known better for decades now

I would think most people would at least try to have more patience for a child than for an adult?

DH is awesome and I rarely get annoyed by him, I have seemingly endless patience with DD which is not how I thought I would be. So it's pretty equal. That said, we rarely are rushing off anywhere so I'm sure that would be different if say I had to be out of the house every day at the same time. When we are late is when I get frustrated.

I hear from a lot of mothers that they struggle with patience with their LO. Wondering if I was alone in my struggle to be patient with DH. I think if I actively and mindfully work on it, I can definitely improve. Glad I am not alone!!
DH is awesome in SO many ways, I do feel bad about how impatient I can get with him. Whether or not LO or kids in my class are awesome or not, I typically go right to grace and empathy.

Definitely DH!! I'm so surprised by the responses here haha!

DH, because he usually doesn't throw food on the floor at dinner or try to poke my eyes while I'm sleeping. But when he ticks me off, he ticks me off so much more because it's usually something big. If I'm angry at the kids, I let go of it very quickly, but I've had arguments with DH that went on for months.

I have no patience for anyone, ever. I'm a real treat to be around. But I try harder with the kids, because they are kids. DH does fewer annoying things overall but when he does them I have little patience because I used t all up on the kids.

I will fully admit that patience is a virtue that I do not have. I'm equally impatient with my husband and my kids. I'm alaways AMAZED at the patience my husband has for our kids. I wish I could be more like that.

@808love: LO. Way more. I'm almost never annoyed or sippy with him. DW? Different story. I'm working on it.

Prior to becoming a parent, I feared I wouldn't have much patience. Turns out I found it much easier to have patience with LO because I recognize she's always learning.
Then I started to feel bad about how little patience I show my husband. Sometimes I consciously try to deal with him more like I would my LO. I would like to do better.

I have at least 50 times more patience for the kids than I do DH. Poor DH!

I have way more patience with my kids than with my husband. I probably need to work on that for the sake of a more harmonious marriage. It's about expectations--I don't expect my kids to clean up after themselves all the time (at 1 and 3), or not make messes, or to do chores around the house, or to support me emotionally. But my husband is an adult, so yeah, I expect all of that and more. And then get frustrated and super impatient if it isn't happening.
example: if the kids are all up in my grill in the morning when I'm trying to walk out the door to go to work (I leave at 6:45 am and DH doesn't leave till 8 am), and Dh is nowhere to be found, just doing something to take care of himself--then I would tend to snap at him, not the kids.

I'm totally more patient with my kids. Especially because my DH is the kind of guy that thinks it's funny to follow me around the house and hang off me while I do chores. I have no tolerance for that crap

Wait, is that a trick question? how are you supposed to answer that? lol
I am just impatient. period. to everyone, unfortunately. It would have been easier to make my bathroom smell like rose petals.

My New Years resolution is to be more patient with everyone in my household. I'm very go-go-go and I like to eat quickly, tidy up, and run out the door while DH and DD1 are suuuuuuuuper poky. I need to chill sometimes.

Um, LO by a landslide lol! Not that I am horrible to DH hahaha, I do have a lot of empathy for him, I think he needs more of that than patience.
