It may just be me but this post reminded me of the part in Anne of Avonlea (I think!!) where she’s teaching at the private girls school and debating Katherine with a K or with a C with the headmistress!

Catherine is actually high on our list if we have a girl. It was my grandmother's name so we take the spelling from her.

Definitely Katherine, it's so classic. If we were having a girl, we were going to name her Katelyn and I loved the idea of calling her Kate!

My LO is Katherine, but we call her Katie We picked Katherine with a "K" because of the different nick names. We wanted her to have options for when she was older.
