DH and I are actually going to see a movie on Saturday - I'm so excited. I think the last time we saw a movie together was before we were married (it's been nearly 4 years... whaaat?!)..
We have it narrowed down to Twelve Years a Slave or The Monuments Men. Which would you see?

Monuments men got pretty bad reviews so id go with 12 years a slave....but I think it may be a bit heavy for a date night? (Unless you don't mind that type of thing) are there any good comedies out? I liked "Her" also

Oh really? I guess I haven't read the reviews but I liked the trailer!
We did watch the trailer for Her but it didn't really appeal to us.

DH and I saw Monuments Men...it wasn't that great considering the amazing cast. I enjoyed the storyline, but it was slow at times and kinda dragged on.

I have to agree. DH and I saw Monuments Men too. I liked it, but I can't say it was a great movie.

@cascademom: Seriously, what is going on with that? I had no idea until I heard people talking about it and watched the trailer... it actually looks pretty funny!

@lawbee11: I agree. I was super excited for the movie (Monuments Men), but it was a let down . . . it was slow and dragged on . . . there were some great parts, to be sure, but I had high expectations considering the cast!
ETA: My vote would be for The Lego Movie!
