For us, it's the guest room, I use it as the place to put stuff before I actually put it away, store in projects in progress, etc.

Any part of my husband's domain! I loathe clutter, but he loves it, so it is a constant battle between us. His basement "man room" space is the absolute worst!

The garage.
I keep things fairly organized, but DH just can not understand that things should have a "home"
We got some shelves when we moved in, but he just piles stuff on them in no logical order.

The mudroom. I am (mostly) ok with it since it is sort of the purpose of having a mudroom-but it can also drive me crazy!

Right now, almost everywhere. We have neglected so much due to me dealing with early pregnancy fatigue.

Inside the house... We have an undefined room just inside the garage. It has bookshelves, a desk, and a table that we tend to drop stuff from the day on (coffee mugs, mail, my purse, coats, etc)
I think if the room had a defined purpose, it would be more neat.

The entrance. We don't have a closet so we have a ton of shoes and a coat rack and the stroller. Our kitchen is right next to the entrance and there is always a pile (of my husband's stuff!) on the counter. Makes me crazy.

The garage or the office. That's where things usually go when they don't have a permanent home yet.

The kitchen island. Our island contains the sink, so part of the clutter is the drying rack, dish soap dispensers and paper towel holder. Add in things that have not yet made it to their final destination- in the sink, dishwasher, or back in the pantry and boom the island is a mess.

The dining room table. We've lived in this house for a year, and can count on one hand the number of times we've actually eaten at the table That is the first point of entry from the garage and turns into a dumping ground for everything else. Currently home to art that needs to be hung, light bulbs, a mirror, magazines, recycling that needs to be taken to the garage... so embarrassing.

Our desk area in the kitchen. I'm constantly battling the crap that ends up on it!

Garage. It's currently a mess and it's too cold to spend a long time there to clean it up!

O.M.G.! It's the garage. It's absolutely terrible. It's full of boxes that have been there since we moved in in 2014! I don't even know what's in the boxes. My goal is to get it all cleared out but it's so hard to decide what stays and what goes. I listen to a podcast called The Practical Minimalists, which has really inspired me to part with things that don't feed my soul. #goals

The dining room table, and the bar in between the kitchen and the dining room.

The man cave!! So the garage and his office..I don't go in there unless i need to, and i definitely don't clean there ..

Yea, the guest room is pretty bad right now, I can deal though since the rest of the house is doing pretty well!

My office because I work very little. It tends to be our catch all space and where I store all our DDs extra clothes.
The basement is worse but it's a different beast since we don't use it as living space.

@Rocker2014: This, ditto. I have managed to conquer 95% of the house as adult/clean space, but DH has primary domain over our office and crap frequently just piles up in there.
@MediaNaranja: I FREAK OUT when people start piling stuff on the dining table for this exact reason. It's a fast and slippery slope to having nowhere to eat!

Our bedroom
We are in a small 2 bedroom apartment with no garage or extra storage. I like to keep the kids' room and the living room uncluttered and organized since they are the areas they play and where guests hang out.... which means everything else (toys i want to hide from kids, boxes i'm saving for returns, stuff i need to return at ikea, my craft supplies) gets dumped into our bedroom. Ugh.

The basement or the garage. Right now we have so much baby stuff stored in the basement and I can't get rid of any of it until we're done having kids. Drives me crazy. I hate clutter!!

@Rocker2014: Yes! DH likes to hold into stuff and it's a constant back and forth between us. If I had my way I would get rid of so much more.

The whole upstairs. It's our family room, computer nook, and LO's play space all in one. DH loves that we can all hang in the same area, but it sure is hard to maintain.
I give myself props for not saying the storage/dining room. That is officially cleared out!

The office. We have a dedicated office off the foyer in our house and it's become the "I don't know where this crap should go room". When my husband or I work from home we usually sit at the kitchen table because the office is such a mess

The entryway nook drives me nuts: bikes, strollers, winter gear, laundry hanging rack. All stuff that belongs there because we have nowhere else for it, but I hate that it's open to the living room and I can always see it.

@PawPrints: Yup, this is by far my biggest annoyance. Luckily it's been in the 70s here so I'm ready to unearth the patio furniture from the garage, so we will at least have a clutter-free table outside

Probably our office/guest room since we put bigger things that don't have a set place (like my sons tricycle and scooter). But my bedroom is a close 2nd. Not big clutter that's in the way, but I end up leaving things on the windowsill for a while while I decide where to put it (we have long, wide shelf-like windowsills that are perfect for accumulating crap). And my husband has his one corner of our room where he flings his clothes that are worn but not dirty that he MAY want to wear again soon so he can't be bothered to put them away and I refuse to do it for him. And he keeps his laptop bag and some other random crap and an outlet with about 10 charging cords. It drives me nuts but I can't say much because of my windowsill.

Kitchen and my "office area." I have a little office space which is cluttered with boxes galore. The kitchen area will get cleaned again once we get a console table for behind the recliner, near the kitchen table.

my desk! it's in an office nook in our bedroom and i stack mail etc. on it. i dread cleaning it out/organizing the papers, but aim to do it monthly.
