Which Picture?

If you could only choose one of the following pictures to print, which one would you choose?

The hospital sends in a photographer to take pictures while you're still there - I ordered 1 for L and am going to order 1 for K. I like these 5, but don't LOVE any one more than the other. I kind of like the profile the most, but it's not so great for seeing how she looked as a newborn.

The prints are $30 for each picture, which is why I'm only getting one. To get digital rights I'd have to buy all of them for $150, which I just don't want to spend

I say go with the profile. It's the one shot you're unlikely to duplicate many times at home!

@snowjewelz: Me too! I like both 3 and 5! The profile shot is GORGEOUS, but I like all the details you have in the 5th shot!

they're all so gorgeous the profile is really sweet but I know what you mean about not seeing her face properly. I think the last one is ridiculously cute, so that's my vote! really cool that the hospital organises a photog, wow

I like the third. I'd like the 5th more if it was brightened up a bit. The nostrils are distracting in the first and second photo, as is the blotchiness in the fourth.

I wish Bella did some editing!

@Mrs. Lemon-Lime: It's a vertical picture of her swaddled in a white sheet with a green bow tied around it. I would say K's #1 pic is most similar to it, but L's is full body with no basket

@blackbird: Seriously... the hospital and the photographer have some agreement - you'd think they could work that out. Or, just accept that a foot shot IN the hospital is just a waste of time, haha

3rd. The lighting is so beautiful and I agree with PP-- profile photos are not ones you would necessarily take on your own. What a cutie!!!

I couldn't pick between 3 and 4, but voted 4. They're all great!

PS - I'm guessing we gave birth in the same hospital cause Bella did photos for us too I wish I had known in advance cause DH is wearing a not-so-attractive Pink Floyd t-shirt which is very distracting in some of the pics...

I am torn between #3 and #5. Love the profile shot, but if you are at all concerned about seeing what she looks like as a newborn, #5 is a great choice!

I really like the 4th picture. I used a similar one for LO's birth announcement. We didn't do newborn pics with him. I used all of the from the hospital for a Shutterfly picture frame and announcements.

I agree with the consensus, 3 or 5. The contrast from the shadows helps a lot. Does one of them complement the print you already have of LO#1? That might help make the call.

ETA: on reconsideration I lean toward 5. Looks more individual and alive, almost in motion with her arm and the depth of the shot.

I vote 3 because it's so unusual for a newborn images, and just beautiful. 5 is wayyyy too dark IMO.

@JennyPenny: Bella does photos in a lot of hospitals! Including our birthing center. Glad to get a glimpse of the kind of photos they take. I think these all look wonderful, though maybe not the foot sensor one.
