    We have #2 and DD loved it, it was a gift.

    #2 is some of the best $20 we ever spent. LO still plays with hers a ton... In fact, she enjoys it more now that she's walking really well.

    @Smurfette: gla d you chose #2.
    We have it (as well as 2 more that were gifts) and DS loves it best because the electronic screen clicks off and he can play with it and push buttons as it is flat on the floor. Oh, and he picks up the toy telephone and says, "EEEERRRROO?!?!"

    We also have #2. We bought it used from Craigslist because I was worried about the lifespan of it. Best $14 I ever spent!

    The toy panel comes off so you can take it with you. It has two wheel speeds, turns easily, and is surprisingly sturdy. My son is tall and heavy, and it still worked really well for him,

    @dreamocracy: so this would be considered ok? I love the idea but don't want to do damage!

    @ladybee: i haven't heard anything bad about them at least and my daughter's development seems to have really taken off since she started playing with hers

    @ladybee: My understanding is those are fine!

    @ladybee: my understanding is that the only risk with those are if they are used frequently (hours everyday) that they can affect hip placement and muscle tone development. But I'm not sure on the specific parameters of suggested use.

    @ladybee: Those are fine A big reason the other kind is dangerous is because of the wheels. Jumperoos probably do allow children to stand higher than they otherwise would, but they are also stationary. With the walker a child can not only stand higher but can walk over to the hot stove, reach up and pull something off a counter, etc.
