Girl names were soooo much easier! Whereas I have five girl names I LOVE, we could hardly agree on a name for a boy. If we have another boy next time it will be really difficult!

We had a boy and girl name picked out way before LO came around so I voted both were easy!

We decided on our boy name years ago! We are still struggling a little with girl...but i think we are almost there

I have a whole slew of girl names that I love. Certainly can't say the same for a boy. Our plan is to use a family name but even that isn't my favorite.

We only had a boy name, couldn't decide on a girl name we both loved.

We had a boys and girls name picked before we were pregnant, we had a girl so we know what the next baby will be called if it's a boy, but we'll have trouble if it's a girl.

Girl! If this baby is a boy I am pretty sure he'll be nameless when he's born!

They were both difficult but in different ways. We had a lot of trouble cutting names from our girl list, and a hard time finding boys names that met all of our criteria.

Girl names! Hubs was sooooo much more picky with boy names! Thank Goodness M came out with girl parts or she might still be nameless!

I don't have a LO but we've been talking about names for-ev-er. I always thought girls name would be easier because there are so many I love. But it turns out my DH doesn't love the same ones as I do. So we've settled on a future boy name but I have no idea what we'd name a girl.

@MamaMoose: my DH was the aggravating one too!! No name was good enough for him.

@Mrs. Pen: We were the opposite, we had loads of boys names we liked and no girls names at all. We finally agreed on one girl name but didn't have any back ups in case she didn't suit it. Good job we both still love it, if we ever have another girl we're screwed!

My sweetie and I aren't TTC yet, but we are talking about names. We had quite the debacle trying to agree on a name for our car last year. So, we figured we should get a head start on names for our sproglings; it isn't generally considered nice to dodge the issue by perpetually referring to them as "the kid".
The one (and perhaps only) thing we agree on so far is that having a gender neutral name is important. We really don't want unconscious gendered expectations to affect our kiddos any more than they have to.

We have nooooooo idea what we would name a boy but have like 10000 options for girls.
My husband is stuck on Winston and it is driving me mad!

I had a ton of girl names I loved and 0 boy names. I took us forever to settle on a name for our son.

Boy names were hard. DH didn't like anything that I suggested. We ended up choosing a really common name for J. I didn't really want something so popular but it does fit him! We've had a girl name picked since before we were pregnant with DS!

We had a girl name picked out while TTC. When we found out we were expecting a boy, it was a lot harder to come up with a name.

They're both difficult, bordering on impossible.
DH has hated every name I have suggested. I have hated every name he has suggested. We are left with a boy's name we're both kinda meh about and one girl's name he loves but I feel meh about and one girl's name we're both not-so-sure about. Sigh.

struggled with boys names, had a boy.. now pregnant again, still no boy name choices but 3+ girl names choices.. argh! I don't know what we'll do if we have another boy!

Names are hard, I think! But names for girls were relatively easier for us.

Our first boy, at least, will be hard because DH really wants to use his own name and I really do not.

We had a boy and girl name picked out pretty easily for our first LO.
But LO was a girl, and I realized I don't want to use the boy name because of it's popularity if our next LO is a boy, and we already have another girl name picked out (we're not even TTC yet but I'm a crazy planner!) and the boys name is harder to come up with. Good thing we have lots of time

Girl names were easier. We had a few of those picked out. We never really settled on a boy name we liked and even now, we have a girl name for another baby but not really a boy name.

Girl names were wayyy easier for us. We have our gender scan today, and if it's a girl, we've got her name picked out! If it's a boy....he'll just have to wait

Girl names! I don't know what we would have done if M had been a boy...

When I was having ds, it was easy to pick a boy's name. Now that I'm having a girl, it was easy to pick her name, lol. Funny how that worked out!

Girl names! Only cause we had discussed them before getting pregnant and once we found out the gender, it was a 2 min conversation. We only talked boy names pre-TTC and could never agree on one.

We had (and still have) a boy name that came to use very easily and of course we had a girl. I like more unique names whereas my DH likes more trendy/common names for girls. We did agree but it took awhile to get there!

We had 3 girl names we both really liked, so luckily LO was a girl! We did come up with a boy name just in case, but it took a long time to agree on it and it ended up being one that we were both ok with but neither loved.

We have a boys name picked first and middle.... i have a on my list for girls
GOLD / grapefruit / 4555 posts
I found girl names nearly impossible and it wasn't until just a week or so ago that we had any picked out. It's fine to pick a first name but it's hard to find a middle name that goes -with- the first name -and- sounds good with the last name! Even one as simple as ours!

When we were coming up with baby names, girl names were coming up left and right. Not so much for boy names. It was like 10 girl names for 1 boy name!
