I have a marpac and love it. I think it's what a lot of people use.

I have the marpac dual speed. I got ours at bed bath and beyond and used the 20% coupon.

We have a Munchkin one we bought off of Amazon. It was only $20 I think? I love it because the volume goes up really high and my LO needed loud, loud noise for the first couple months. We previously had a Graco one and it shut off all the time randomly even when we didn't put the timer on.

Another vote for the Marpac! We have the dual speed for LO. We even pack it when we travel.

Thanks everyone! Right now we have been using "the happiest baby in the block" white noise cd (especially the hairdryer sounds) on repeat but we definitely need something we can use all night. It sounds like the marpac is pretty popular so maybe I will give that one a look.

We just use a fan on high and it works really well, but that's because we didn't have money to buy a sound machine. I would like one someday though!

We have the sleep sheep too. I don't mind the timer because she doesnt really need continuous noise anyway.

Something loud that doesn't shut off. My nursery is right next to my living room, so I'd have to be really quiet without the white noise. No thank you!

We use the sleep sheep. DD doesn't seem to need the continuous noise, and we don't want her getting too addicted to it anyways.

Another vote for the Marpac dohm! It has been a lifesaver for us. We used the Cloud B Gentle Giraffe before and hated that it cut off after 45 minutes. I wasn't a fan of a battery operated sound machine either. The Marpac is great!!

After using a ton of cheaper options, I just started using the marpac dohm dual speed and love it so far. It's not a digital track, so it doesn't loop. I found my kids would sometimes wake up a minute or two after the looping gap. The tone is really adjustable, more than just loud/soft, so I can change it based on what's happening in the house - I keep it on the higher speed while we're up, and low while we're asleep too. I also like that it moves a little bit of air w/o being a real fan.

Pediasleep.com hair dryer version. We downloaded it to an iPod Touch that we keep in the nursery. It is small which is nice so we can travel with it easily.

We use this one. I like that it has a lot of options. We've been using it for 15 months and no problems so far.
