This is going to sound so boring but we want white walls in the nursery so we can have lots of bright things in there. And no, we're not renting. I just like white as a backdrop for different colors!
If you did a nursery with white walls, which white paint did you use? And did anyone do this in a home they owned?

I actually want to paint our nursery an off-white, sort of like this:
I like it! It's nice and light and airy!

We were renting and I was lazy so we just had it white. I hand painted an alphabet on the wall behind the crib in orange, green, yellow and brown paint.

White is totally in right now. Our nursery will be grey for the same reason (neutral back drop so we can do fun colors!). Trust your instincts!

Our house is painted a cream or off white color throughout. I'm excited that it's neutral and plan to use lots of bright primary colors. I say go for it!

Not boring at all. Most of our walls are white for the same reason. We used BM Seashell. It's more of a warm off-white. Our house gets lots of light, and I didn't want to need sunglasses just to sit in a room.

We don't own our home but we are allowed to paint and chose not to for both nurseries. We would have to prime it before we left (in the summer of 2015) and I'm just too lazy for that, lol.
Here's both our nurseries ; actually planned on "revealing" our Dr Seuss nursery later today once the curtain for the big window gets here.

For the record both rooms are the same color (the white in the Seuss pictures is accurate) I just have an actual camera to use now, not just my phone, lol.

Our nursery walls are white, with one grey & white striped one. DD's room is small so I thought that would maximize the feeling of space. The white we used is linen white - our painter said it would feel less sterile than full on white.

We didn't do white, but I like it a lot!! You could even do a super, super light grey that's almost white!

@Navy_Mommy: Can you tell me how you hung your lanterns from the ceiling? I used the tiny clear command strip things but they've begun to fall. I think it might be running the humidifier every night.

I love white! We're in a rental now, but when we get a house the walls will still be 100% white. We'll bring in color other ways.

White *is* "in" right now. Just read an article on Apartment Therapy (http://www.apartmenttherapy.com/hallmarks-of-a-scandinavianstyle-kids-bedroom-189956) on how trendy Scandinavian nurseries are and they all have white paint so other things in the nursery can really pop!

I loooove white walls. We rent and our walls are off white, which is ok, but I would rather them be bright white. In our old apartment the walls were bright white and I used decals to decorate DS's room.

Sadie's nursery is white! It was actually started in our last house, and we painted it a VERY pale blue. Like, during the day you couldn't really tell it was blue. So when we moved we decided to just keep her room white. And, I really like it!
Here's a picture of her room in our old house with the blue walls - everything's the same except now her walls are white:

We have white walls in lo's playroom so the color comes from his toys, books, artwork. I love it.

@yellowbird: I would guess that dresser is vintage that's been repainted. Check out your local craigslist, you can find tons of old mcm furniture to paint yourself or that has already been done

Our house is kind of a cream/off white throughout and we decided for a bunch of reasons not to paint. I think it still looks nice :). I like the color of our walls with bright white molding, as opposed to having everything be bright white.

@Chastenet: I wish I could find something like that in my area, but there is a person that trolls Craigslist and buys any furniture listed as soon as it's posted and resells it for $$$$$. So lame!

@yellowbird: I got it from a local consignment store & my dad painted it! He owns an auto-body shop, so he has a paint gun & access to tons of high gloss paints. It's actually from the 1960's, which I love. Do you have any consignment stores nearby?

We're doing white with lots of bright color to make the room feel bigger. I agree with lots of PP - white is very chic right now!

I've been searching Craigslist for something similar to paint a semi-glossy mint or seafoam green.

@fussygal: I only paid $70, but I looked it up when I got home and found an online vintage shop selling the same one for $600! I was almost tempted to resell it and make a profit, but I loved it too much... ha. Try yard sales too!
