@spaniellove: not sure if someone already posted but there was a great post about different white paint colors on Design Sponge

My entire apt is white by choice and I love it. It makes everything so bright and airy. I love changing decor so it's the perfect neutral.

@yellowbird: oh man, that stinks!!! I found pretty much ALL my furniture on Craigslist. Maybe there's a good MCM store or consignment shop so you can avoid the CL troll? MCM is getting to be pretty popular and I've noticed more and more stores opening recently.

I like neutral wall colors. Our walls are a little more of a beige/gray color with pure white trim, but the effect is similar. I'm working on my daughter's room now, and using Scandinavian -style kids' decor as inspiration. Neutrals + lots of color, they are very kid friendly and functional.

Most of our house is painted a very light gray. Almost white in appearance unless you look at the molding, which is actually white. Then we pick one wall in the bedrooms and paint a bright pop of color on the one wall. Elliott's nursery has Benjamin Moore OC-21 for the gray/white and then a pop of bright yellow on one wall...I think it was Benjamin Moore - Yolk.

We painted our whole house bright white! It feels so fresh, and everything pops. I love how our nursery came out with the white walls and pops of color.

@JessKas: I love how your nursery came out too.
I see tons of adorable Scandinavian style nurseries with white walls. I love it.

We have tan on top, but did white bead board along the bottoms of the walls and white furniture. I really like how clean the white looks against the furniture (or at least until crayons get involved! Then I break out the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser!). I definitely recommend scrubbable paint!
