Do you buy white eggs or brown eggs?

I buy white. What's the difference? Is one better than the other? I just buy white cause it's super cheap at Costco.

@banana: I buy my eggs at Costco, too. I tell my husband when we own a house, we should invest in a chicken coop because we go through at least 12-18 eggs a week! It's crazy!

I buy brown. The color of the egg is based solely on the kind of chicken that laid it.

@bluestriped bee: OMG, we go through so many eggs a week too. Between me, DH, LO and my mom (who watches my son), we go through 6-8 eggs a DAY! Sometimes we'll go through 10 eggs a day if we remove the yolk and do egg whites only. I buy 2 of the bulk egg packs at costco. They're so cheap right?? Love it!

i buy white only cuz i was raised on white. don't know the difference.

Brown because I buy organic eggs and they all seem to be brown? Are there white organic eggs?

We only get brown ones here, so not exactly a choice haha! Our hens are red/brown, so presumably that's the cause...

I get white because their cheaper. But sometimes my mom goes shopping for me and she'll buy brown.

I get white because it's what we've always gotten. Buying brown doesn't even occur to me. Plus I think the brown ones are more expensive.

We usually get white, but whenever we buy organic eggs for DD they seem to be brown.
