I do. I do most of the cooking and I really enjoy grocery shopping (LO is still young enough to not make it hard to do with her.). DH will pick stuff up, but he gets lost pretty easily in the grocery store and will bring home random or the wrong things, like bringing me powdered sugar when I asked him to buy regular (granulated) sugar.

I do and I do all the cooking too. DH helps clean, sweeps, and lots of other chores around the house.

90% me. DH is one of those tv-commercial-clueless-men-in-the-grocery-store guys, but in real life. Lucky me.
If I send him, I'm going to field so many calls, asking for me to tell him which aisle to get things on (omg), that I may as well just go myself.
Here's us:
DH: (calling from cell phone): Hey, they don't have almond milk. Do you want something else?
me: they don't have any almond milk at all?? how is that possible, they carry about 5 different brands of almond milk.
DH: I'm standing right in front of the milk, and I don't see almond milk.
me: are you standing in front of regular COW's MILK? Almond milk isn't in with the cow's milk, it's like down a little on the same refrigerated aisle.
Dh: where? I don't see it. I see coffee creamer. I see whipped cream. What does it look like?
me: it looks like an entire refrigerated case full of alternative milks, half of which are almond milk. I don't know how else to explain it. It's really, really hard to miss. If you are looking at coffee creamer, you are within 5 feet of it. Just keep looking.
him mumbling and talking while walking in the aisle: I found it. But I only see regular almond milk. (I've given him instructions to get me Shoprite brand, unsweetened vanilla almond milk).
me: It's right there. Read labels. They're all together. I want unsweetened vanilla and the Shoprite brand is cheapest.
him: I don't see it. They must not have it.
me: They ALWAYS have it. Keep looking.
him: I only see regular Silk brand.
me: UGH. The shoprite brand is always on the very top or very bottom.
Him: Nah, I can't find it.
Me: FINE, get me the Silk brand unsweetened vanilla.
him: They only have regular vanilla
me: I don't want regular vanilla, it's too fattening!!!!
him: okay, so you don't want any.
me: NO, I definitely want SOMETHING. I need milk for my cereal tomorrow before work. FINE. Get me the stupid full-fat regular Silk vanilla almond milk, even though I know the other ones are there.
30 minutes later at home........
Me: Where's my almond milk?
him? I thought you said you didn't want it! I put it back.
Me: (slowly banging my head on the wall)
This actually happened last week. TRUE STORY.

@Anagram: LOL!! Awww sometimes it's just easier to get things done ourselves. I totally enjoy grocery shopping but by myself though. I always forget something if LO is with me.

We both do. We grocery shop together on the weekends. Although sometimes if I have to work DH will end up going alone. I'm not sure if this will change when LO shows up or not. I kinda like grocery shopping together!

I do 99% of the time. DH has gone once or twice with my list on weeks I was super busy.

Usually I do most of it, but recently in late pregnancy my husband has been doing more of it since I haven't felt up to much lately.

@Anagram: that totally sounds like my hubby. He's the kind who will say "I didn't see any sweet potatos so I got regular ones instead." Um, thanks, but they're not exactly interchangeable! I think the most shocked I've ever been during our 8 1/2 years together was a couple weeks ago when I was making Indian food and asked if he could pick up some ghee...and he actually CAME HOME WITH IT!! I thought for sure he would either forget or get defeated looking for it and give up, haha.

DH does. We go together for large trips to a bigger grocery store, but for everyday things we run out of, he goes to the neighborhood grocery store on his way home from work.

I do pretty much all of the grocery runs now that I SAH...sometimes we go as a family over the weekend but that's not very often.

@Anagram: LOL! I do remember trips like that. DH has definitely gotten better. I would have asked him to take pictures and send to me. Or tell him to ask someone.
DH even checks to make sure he gets the cheapest one. I think it took 2 years after we got married for him to finally learn.

I do the list and meal planning and often do most of the major shops. Every once in a while DH comes with me for company, or he'll pick up a missing item or something we're craving.

We do one grocery shop per week, as a family. We are each responsible for certain items, we each get a list.
Sorry, but I can not accept my husband not being able to do a grocery shop to a specific list. It's not always possible for us to go or for me to go alone, so he's got to be able to manage it.

We go grocery shopping as a family on Sunday mornings. I make sure we get what we need for meals, though because I'm the cook in our house.

We both do — although I'd rather do it myself. He's a slowpoke at the grocery store!
We usually meal plan when the grocery store flyer comes in (Wed or Thurs) and make a list, and then either do the shopping Friday night on the way home from picking LO up from daycare, or sometime Saturday or Sunday. DH usually picks any extra things up during the week, because he works across the street from our grocery store.

We do it together! We do a big Costco trip every month for dry goods and protein (which we then freeze). Then week by week I go to the regular store and supplement with fresh veggies. Works out pretty nicely!

Me, I make out a meal plan, ask for input and usually go during nap time on Saturday or Sunday.

Both of us! We do our big trips together on the wknd (like yest!) and then I'll pick up baby grociers when I do target runs. DH does the TJ & WF shopping because he works near those places!

@Anagram: does he ask for help from the workers? I do that all the time!

@MrsH: @Smurfette: @bluestriped bee: @PurplePeony: haha.
Now I feel bad posting that. haha. It's not that he's unwilling it's just that he doesn't get grocery stores. And that he's oblibious to the things I eat that he doesn't eat.
When I was pregnant, I was so nauseous and so sick that I didn't go grocery shopping for 3 months, and he did it all.
But there were a LOT of phone calls like the above. hehhe. And maybe more than a few angry tears on my end when he'd bring home say, zesty salsa wheat thins (barf during morning sickness) when the plain wheat thins were "out". Um....NOT A GOOD SUBSTITUTE.
I give him props for trying though. I'm not super easy to please in the food department.

@Anagram: If DH does go I have to write down exactly what I want. Even the kind of tomato or he brings a Steak Tomato and I need a Plum.
pomelo / 5720 posts
@Anagram: omg...too funny! This would totally be DH if I sent him to the store for anything other than wings or Franks red hot. I swear he comes home with both of those every time he goes, despite the fact that we have 3 bottles and plenty of wings in the freezer!
Needless to say, I do the grocery shopping, and 95% of the cooking.
pomelo / 5257 posts
Me! I pretty much decide what we cook and am head chef (my H says he's my sous chef, haha) so it makes sense for me to do the shopping, especially since we have different days off right now. When our weekends are the same sometimes we go together.

We go as a family every Thursday night, but if we need something small he'll usually pick it up on his way home from work.

It's me 95% of the time. My husband has no issue going and getting stuff but he doesn't notice if we are running on low on something like toilet paper, so I keep track of all of that. I usually grocery shop during the week as needed or text him and let him know what to pick up.
cantaloupe / 6692 posts
DH. He's better at controlling impulse shopping. Lol. He also knows what we need better than I do.
coconut / 8430 posts
I do about 99% of it since I started staying at home. If I forgot something I'll have DH pick it up on the way home.
cantaloupe / 6017 posts
I've done it since I"ve been home, with the exception of during his vacations. We used to take turns.
I do it now so that we don't have to run errands during his (very little, very precious) time off. Plus, the store is way less crowded during the week.
