I was a little hurt that I found out about my cousin's pregnancy on Facebook. I always made a point to tell family before the "news broke online." I thought that growing up together and being close in age and sharing so much together she would have at least text me the new before it came out online. I know not everyone thinks this way, but I'm family. Did you share online before telling your close friends/family?

I told immediate family and close friends, those who I would want to know if we had miscarried. But not my extended family at all, they found out when we announced on social media.

We told everyone before social media. I'm 22 weeks 4 days and we still haven't shared on social media.
We won't make an announcement, although eventually it'll be obvious in pictures. ETA: But I'm weird.

I told my immediate family, close friends, and work before I put anything on social media (at 20 weeks). I didn't personally tell my cousins since I don't live close to them or see them often, but I'm sure they heard about it from my grandparents/aunts/uncles before it was on-line.

I posted on FB after we found out gender, so by then I think most people I'm close with had already found out.

I sent out a postcard to all close family, friends, and work before hand, and then posted online at 17 weeks I think.
For baby #2 (in the future) I probably won't do that, so cousins would probably just find out through the 'grapevine'. Friends I don't talk to often I guess would find out on social media...

We have told the moms this past weekend. Will be telling family and close friends up to 12 weeks.

We told many family and friends in our Xmas card. Everyone I really cared about heard from me directly (in person, phone, email, or text). I just recently announced on FB at 33 weeks.

We just never shared online until the birth.

Immediate family and close friends and actually extended family too now that I remember. And I think DHs parents told his extended family.
For this baby we told most of my family at Christmas. Some of DHs. He isn't as close with his cousins so he didn't let them know. I think they just found out from their parents who found out from DHs parents. Announced on ig a bit after that. Nothing on fb.

we told immediate family, friends and then told our families to pass it onto extended families, but we didn't personally call extended family. but i think most everyone knew before we announced.
