We each do our own laundry, but imagine we'll split LO's clothing, or take turns. DH plays rugby, and I don't like touching his stinky gear.

We both do but DH has been taking care of most of it since we got out of the hospital.

I do it. I actually don't mind it and DH puts it off for so long if left up to him!

@deerylou: i make DH put his gym clothes right into the washer so i don't have to touch them! he keeps a plastic bag in his gym bag and fills it with his dirty gym clothes all week and then brings it in at the end of the week- eeeewwww!!!! if i find the bag, i push the stuff in the washer without making contact with the clothing
i do the laundry. DH has tried a couple times but has dried my sweaters and shrunk them, now he's afraid to try to do laundry.

We both do it. He doesn't do mine because he's afraid of ruining something, but he does most of his own and we both do diaper laundry.

I do everyone's laundry, but he helps me put everything away.

We were each doing our own, but he asked if I could PLEASE take over doing his. So I do if he keeps it neat and brings it to the laundry room when it needs to be done. He helps put his away too when I ask! I hateeee putting laundry away!

We share a hamper and we both do whatever laundry is in it when it gets full. I have to admit he does it more often than I do, and he's better at folding and putting it away more quickly than I am.

We do our own laundry but I usually end up putting his away. Otherwise he just keeps wearing his clothes out of the basket.

I do mine, he does his, and we both do baby laundry and towels

He does most of the laundry but leaves my clothes for me to do. He says my clothes is too tricky to wash. Haha.

We almost always do it together on an afternoon when we're both home.

I usually do, but sometimes he does. He always checks with me first though, to make sure he uses the right settings. Right after we got home from the hospital after having LO, he did ALL the laundry, though.
DH does all the dishes!

I used to do it. Now he does it mostly... Though I just finished two loads. Folding is always tag team.
coconut / 8305 posts
We both do the washing & drying (mostly me since I'm home)... he puts up almost 100% of the time (he actually enjoys doing it & I hate it)
pomegranate / 3113 posts
I do 85-90% of it, but he recently decided that he can't deal with my unscented detergent anymore and wants to start using a smelly kind. If he doesn't like the way I do laundry, he is *more* than welcome to do his own...I'm interested to see what happens when he runs out of undies, because I can't stand scented detergents (as in, they actually make me nauseated).

My husband! The nanny thought I didn't even know how. LOL. One day she told me the power had gone out, so I should tell my husband when he got home to turn the washer back on. Hahaha I was like, "I know how to work the machine, lady!"

I usually do it but DH has been doing it since I got pregnant. I may have to start doing it again bc he sucks at it.
pomegranate / 3160 posts
Ehhhh, it kind of depends. I'd say the majority of the time it's me, unless he gets home from a long work trip and will be home for a long time (sitting at home while I'm at work)--then he'll usually take over!

@LovelyPlum: same!
I cook well, clean great and take car of our son well, but I suck at laundry. He washes and folds. I'll do the ocassional "emergency load" in the daytime while he's at work...this means: peed on crib sheets, vomit onesies, pooped on sleepers things that cannot wait in the hamper!

@TurtleDoves: lol, glad to see I'm not the only one. I'm actually not sure when this happened in our house, because I actually taught DH to do laundry...somewhere along the line, though, he took it and ran with it. I'll do it, but he is particular, so I usually just fold
I'm the cook, and he's the dish washer. We both clean, and he does laundry. It works pretty well.

He does his laundry and the towels, I do my laundry and J's laundry. And any leftovers like sheets, and blankets.

Me, as part of my duties as stay at home parent. It's one of my least favorite.
papaya / 10473 posts
I do most of it, but DH does most of the folding. He doesn't hang up any of my clothes because he has deemed them 'confusing' lol. He has started doing diaper laundry as well.
