DH had been gone all week and we were both tired on Friday, so we BD Sat morning for the first time that week. Then I got my postive OPK Sun afternoon and then we BD Monday morning. DH then got on a plane for the week.

We did! We started doing it every other day the week I estimated I'd O. We BD'ed on a Wednesday and I O'ed on a Friday, according to my temps. We also BD'ed the following day, I know sometimes there's a chance of catching it that way, but I am pretty certain we got it with the Wednesday BD. We meant to do it on Friday, but got lazy -- it worked anyway!

we got pregnant on every other day. i wasn't temping, or charting either. just using an iPhone app that tracked my periods and when it estimated my most fertile days were

@lydg: That is how my charts look too! DH gets home Thurs night but late and is always too tired. I was shocked we got pregnant on the third cycle.

@smurfette some of my girlfriend's saw my charts are we're laughing about how it's weekend only sex. I was so shocked that I was pregnant I had no idea until I was almost 9 weeks!

We weren't charting or TTC at the time, but I became pregnant while we were on a "Weekend Only" kind of schedule.

We did, on an every other day schedule

@ninja: Oh, same here! The second time we got pregnant we only had sex one day (2 days before O)! I was positive there was no way I could be pregnant!

When we first started TTC we did it everyday, and yeah, I was tired of sex by the end. We started using OPKs and I started charting around 3 months, and we started doing it every other day...much more manageable, ha.

Both times I got pregnant, we had done it twice in one week. But we weren't BD much before that.

However, I have heard that not doing it everyday actually helps more, as the quality of his swimmers is better.

I agree that not doing it every day is probably better for the swimmers. We did it maybe 3x total the two times that I've gotten pregnant. It was every other day or I think there was even a two day gap one time.

We BD every day and I honestly couldn’t tell you now how we did it!!! It was exhausting!

I got preggo on a "3 days before ovulation and that's it" schedule! Husband travels a lot for work.

Couples who tried to get pregnant were previously told to have sex once every other day during their fertile days. But studies have shown you can improve your chances if you have sex once a day every day (as long as his sperm are OK) during the fertile 4-5 days prior to, and the day of, ovulation. I also had a lot of trouble trying to figure out how we coud sustain an every day pattern! I know that sounds lame, but we were going for quality over quantity When we got pregnant in February, I had a feeling that I would O sometime between Tiesday and Saturday, so we chose Tuesday and Friday as our days that week. We will still never know exactly when I O'd (I was not charting or temping just tracking my cycle over many months), but my sense is that it "took" on the Tuesday. My OB had informed me that every day and a half to 2 days was best.

We only had sex six times after my period during our first month TTC. There were about 3 days in between each time. I was only charting my period and since I had never charted before, So I really didn't know how long they were. We weren't trying very hard, since it was the first month and were going to move to an every other day pattern the next month. We went on vacation and boom! I was preggo. My husband was disappointed as promises of more frequent sex vanished when that second line appeared!

Our first two cycles we were either every day or every other day during our fertile window. The month we conceived we BD'd once at the very beginning of our fertile window so I figured there would be no way we'd get pregnant that cycle. Imagine our surprise!

hahaha, maybe this is why it seems like young people seems to get KU so easily, they have energy to BD everyday! =D me, not so much. although, i'm not pregnant yet, so i guess i'm not an example of what to do! we need to work less & BD more!!

I have a low AMH and I was 34 years old but somehow i got pregnant by one time without the goalie. we were gonna try the following month because we thought trying in Thailand on our honeymoon would be too stressful and we wouldnt be able to drink and party. Well hahah we got pregnant the day prior to ovulation or on the day, i can;t remember but i was charting and i didnt use a sponge after hubby said to hell with it. I think we both expected a longer road ahead. It may have been fluke luck, it may have been because i had recently had an HSG or because i had quit the pill 5 months prior. Whatever the reason we are so grateful. It can happen and it never hurts to do what you can even if it's just one time. Worth a shot. Good luck.
