We have a small family car (CRV) but prefer not to get a bigger one. Kids are in Diono Radian R120s. Technically dd could move to a booster by then but prefer not to. Is there hope for us??

My parents have three diono radians in the back of a kia soul - two rear facing, one front. They previously had two of the dionos and an Evenflow infant seat on a base back there. Not sure if there's a big size difference between the two vehicles, but I'd at least give it a shot with the seats you have now.

I have 3 across in a Honda Pilot - mix of rear facing and forward facing chicco, Diono, and Graco (I think). My mom has 3 across in her CRV (same combo). It definitely fits.

@bees_knees: ooooh t y!!
@birdofafeather: @Mamatimes3: awesome!! I think another radian would go but I'm wondering if we can do an infant seat in the beginning since they're so convenient (if baby is ok with them anyway!)

I would try to start with an infant seat, the chicco keyfit is one of the narrowest. Then pass down one Diono and purchase a harmony defender for your oldest (I believe your oldest is forward facing). Also installing all three seats with the seat belt will give you the most room.

@catgirl: I've never heard of the harmony defender.. off to google that, thank you!

@2littlepumpkins: it's a combination seat (harness to high back booster to no back booster). It's just as narrow as the diono. Since the diono generally doesn't make a usable booster there would be no sense in having three. It's also a lot cheaper.

I recently got a Graco tranzitions based on recommendations from others on here for FF small seat. We love it so far! My DD loves it and so we do.

@2littlepumpkins: I'm pretty sure the forward facing is behind the passenger seat. Those dionos are so long when installed RF that one of those was in the middle, although I believe they also have some kind of angle adjuster so the RF install doesn't extend quite so far towards the front of the car.

We have 3 across in both vehicles (mid size SUV and sedan). My 3.5 year old is FF in a Diono Radian (we flipped him a couple months shy of 3). The 22 month old is RF in a Graco Size4Me and the newborn is in a chicco keyfit.
We'll pass down the toddler's Graco when the baby is ready for it and buy a second Diono.

3 across in an Acura MDX. Maxi Cosi Mico (infant) behind the driver, FF Maxi Cosi Pria in the midle, RF Maxi Cosi Pria behind the passenger.They puzzle together well, but i think it will also be fine when I turn the RF onvertible FF. If not, I'll switch the middle convertible to a high back booster, and move to the following configuration: booster behind driver, move the kid in the RF convertible to the FF convertible, and move the baby to the RF convertible.

3 across in a Honda Pilot, which we bought because our old car did not allow 3 across. We almost got a CRV instead of our old car and if we had, we would have just gotten new car seats to fit 3 across. I think if you have the Chicco Keyfit and Diono Radians they should all fit. I don't know about the narrow FF to booster seats but looks like PP have given some good options.

@sauerkraut: yes right now we have our RF in back of the passenger because DH can't drive with it behind him! We were just talking about getting one of those!
To everyone else, thank you so much for sharing!! It is really helpful to have a list of seats to look into. Some websites address this but they often will say 3 convertibles or 3 infant seats, etc., plus it's nice to know it works from someone who does it!

We have a Pilot and CRV and currently have 2 FF Diono Radians and a Chicco Keyfit. The baby is now really too big for the infant seat so we will switch to the baby being RF in a Radian and my oldest will get a Graco Highback Turbo Booster.
