Charlie is repeating lots of little sayings that I use a lot. I never realized I had so many little sayings, until someone started repeating them back to me! Now I feel kinda silly...
Who has more sayings: you or your SO? What are some of the things that you say... and is your LO picking up on them?

Definitely me. I say old lady sayings all the time, like:
"Slower than molasses in January"
"Six one way, half a dozen the other"
There are more, I just can't think of them right now.

The only one that comes to mind right now is a random word, not a saying! When we read the Gruffalo, Charlie will ask what Gruffalo Tea tastes like and I will tell him it's "delightful!" Then he will start saying everything is delightful.
I can't remember any others... there are also some sayings in there, I think. I'll start keeping a list!

In general I talk about 1000x more than my husband so probably me. I really like yelling "Oh for the love of Pete!!"

I think DH & I are probably even on the sayings front. DH always says "solve the puzzle" - I love that one. I call everyone "brothah" (like 'brother')
LO is too little yet to imitate, but my 1st graders pick up on my sayings. One time I heard a boy tell another boy "Man your desk is a hot mess!"

I have more sayings; but DH has more inflections... like he'll say "puhh-lease" and he's very expressive.
But I say the same things over and over so we'll see who he copies.

My LO always says things my MIL says and it cracks me up. Whenever my MIL watches the girls, I thank her for doing so and she says, "My pleasure." My toddler has started saying "my pleasure" whenever I thank her for something and it's so cute.
And I don't know where she got this, but she has started saying things are "lovely wonderful." She draws "lovely wonderful" pictures and I make her a "lovely wonderful" dinner every night.

Me! And while LO isn't here yet, I laugh when Hubs says one of my sayings! Like we'll have a "hodge podge" for dinner when neither of us want to cook, so other little expressions.

I for sure have more sayings. I also always say "oh geez" all the time, I don't know why. Once I told DH to give me some scenarios so I could prove to him I could be an actress and every scenario he gave me I just said "oh geez" in that persons voice. After that he said I would be a horrible actress lol.

Hmmm I think we are about even, but DH always messes them up. Its funny.
My step dad has SO many. And they are all so hilarious. Like for example:
Me: Where's ___?
Him: "He fell in the shit and the hogs ate him"
*sees girl in too-tight dress*
"That looks like 10 pounds of shit in a 5 pound bag!"
"Well, I'm off like a prom dress!"

Oh and my grandma always says "jesus cripes!" or "for cripes sake!" instead of christ, so now i always say that because it is hilarious

My husband & I might be even?
I say DUDE a LOT and the boys now randomly throw that around, including calling their nona DUDE. hahaha which she hates and I think is funny.
However, my husband clearly injures himself more because we'll catch the youngest saying "I'd really like to do that, but my back hurts" which is something my husband says a lot. haha
