His first name is his own. His first middle name is my maiden name, so he's named after me/my family. His second middle name is my husbands name, which us also his fathers name.

DD's first name is her own and she has my moms middle name since she passed away in 2008. I knew what DD's middle name would be way before we figured out her first name.

If LO is a girl, she'll be named after both my grandmothers and my mother. If LO is a boy, he'll be named after SO's grandmother and my father. =)

Well, our chosen boy first name is DH's middle name, also his father's middle name, and was his paternal grandmother's maiden name.
If bebe is a girl, there's a chance she'll have it as her middle name (even though it's a boy's name). We haven't settled on a girl name, but it's likely she'll be named after that same grandmother, or have that name as a middle name.

We named our daughter after our mothers. We miscarried at 20 wks, so we felt it was a good way to honor them.

Grandfathers. My FIL is first name, my dad is his middle name. Unfortunately his first name is really popular right now... But maybe he can go by his initials if there are too many similarly-named kids in his classes or whatver.

My DDs name is Willa, named after my husband. His middle name is William (and his grandpas name is William).

My oldest is has my grandmother's name as her middle name and her first name is an ancestor's name that we like. My baby has the same middle name as my mom and I, but her first name is just one I liked!

If our LO is a boy, it will be named after my grandfather, first and middle name. The first name also happens to be one of DH's brother's names but we'll be using a different nickname. If it's a girl, the first name is just a name we like but we'll be using DH's grandmother's name for the middle name.
We were close to each of these grandparents (individually - both died before DH and I met) but they both have strong WWII connections, which we find pretty cool. My grandpa landed in Normandy on D-Day and fought through to the end of the war; DH's grandmother was a rations officer in London during the war. We're very proud to have this connection and can't wait to pass this on to our baby.

First name is her own but her middle name is after my husband's maternal grandmother. Someone that is very dear to both of us.
If it was a boy it would have been after my BIL who passed away suddenly.

First name: FIL'S name
Middle name: DH's name
I'm excited about it:) I loved FIL's name since before me & DH even met. Now, I love my FIL so...it all played out well! 17 more weeks until we meet baby boy:)

Both names are his own...although, first name is after a TV sitcom character I used to adore as a child!

His first name is my husband's name, and his middle, which is what he goes by, isn't really after someone, but we got it from a famous character and it's immediatley what people think of when they hear it.

First name isn't after anyone, middle name is after my mom.

Well they aren't named after anyone, but clearly Maverick (we spell it Mavrick, is Tom Cruise in Top Gun) though my father and FIL would tell you it's a car. A 1970s ford Maverick.
Sienna is taken from the actress Sienna Miller, though my Father and FIL would tell you it's another car. Toyota Sienna.
haha.

If it's a boy, he'll be named after both grandfathers (one will be the first name, one the middle name), and if it's a girl, her middle name will be after my very best friend growing up.

Dhs great Grandma for first name and my great Grandma for middle. Her Hebrew middle name is for my grandpa.

If it's a girl, she'll be named after my mom and DH's grandmother. A boy will be named after my step-dad and DH's grandfather. It's great that there are the same names in both our families and that we like them.

1st name: Grayson, not named after anyone. It was one of the first names DH picked out, and it was the first that we both agreed on
2nd name: Douglas, DH's middle name. He doesn't like his middle name, but I loved how they went together and I wanted it to be after someone, and felt it should be after DH
If we had a girl, I'd probably pick a first name that goes with Ann as a middle name because it is mine, my moms and my nieces middle name(and yes my niece was given the middle name Ann after me)

First name is the only boy's name in the entire baby book that we could agree upon (same baby name book my parents used to name me!) Middle name is my father's name.

Well, she wasn't named after anyone. We found out after she was born that her first name is the same as my cousin and her daughter's middle name. I like that. We decided we're starting a new family tradition with that name.

We named our baby girl after our first baby's NICU primary nurse. He was in NICU for so long and she took such great care of him. She basically became a part of our family. We liked her name because it was Japanese without being too Japanese. It's easy to pronounce for japanese as well as westerners.

LO is named after her great great grandmother (first and middle names), which is fun because I'm named after my great great grandmother as well.

First name: Biblical
Middle name: Audrey (after Audrey Hepburn...Classic and elegant)

DS first name is just a name I loved and middle name is after my dad.
@Rubies: LOVE the name Audrey, that's my best friend's name and was a serious consideration if DS was a girl
hostess / eggplant / 11068 posts
@rachiecakes: I wanted Audrey as LO's first name and I fought and fought and fought with the hubs about it! LOL. He rarely has a strong opinion about anything so when he was adamant about LO's first name, I let him have his way and settled for an Audrey middle name. BUT, whenever we have #2, I get FULL name-decision power!
