DH is totally the fun parent, he wrestles with her, makes funny faces and voices and just all around is a great time. The older she gets, the more fun he has.

We are pretty equal I think. We spend almost every weekend just playing together- all three of us- and it's really fun

I think both. We both like to goof of with D's and he gets a kick out of it.

DH is MUCH better with other people's babies than me! I'm hoping this will even out when LO arrives!

Our LO is not here yet, but I can already tell you from interacting with our nieces and nephews that my DH has WAY more energy for playing, and I am way better at structure/discipline/rules.

Example: I sometimes get lots of free books from librarian conferences, so I give the age appropriate ones to the kiddos in our family. I'd just given some picture books to his niece, and we'd read one story together...then I got pulled into doing something else with my SIL, so DH started playing with his niece. She started drawing with crayons in her new book....and he just laughed and played along with her.

When I got back and saw, I was like....um..did you ever consider giving her some paper? Or taking this teachable moment to show that books are not for coloring/drawing? Like...literally, the thought never crossed his mind to tell her "no". LOL.

My husband started out as the fun one, but now I think we are both pretty fun parents : )

I would say both, in the beginning I would say me as DH had never raelly been around kids, but he's gotten a lot more comfortable around our nieces and now knows how to play and what to say!

I'm better with babies, and DH is better with older kids.

DH is most definitely without a doubt better! He plays better, stays calmer, and relates better to even DS than I do. I'm the one that gets frazzled & have like zero imagination. =/

We're both teachers so I'd say we're both pretty good with kids. I enjoy the little ones (I teach pre-k) and he's better with older kids as he teaches 2nd grade.
