My mom has the street smarts and my dad has the book smarts!
What about your family... who is smarter: your mom or your dad?

haha Hm. My mom is definitely more book smart. I'm not sure which of them has the street smart, I don't know if either of them do honestly! hahaha. My dad is smart in all things handy and fixing up stuff and such.

My dad is book smart, but my mom has the street smarts/more common sense.

Mom definitely! Dad might have the higher degrees, higher paying jobs and specific skill set, but my mom is sooo clever, street smart, and a quick thinker. She can find a solution for anything and get anything done herself!

I think they are both super smart in their own ways. My mom is a classic verbal thinker and my dad is much more engineering oriented. They were a good blend.

I think both of my parents are really smart, but my dad was more bordering-on-brilliant. That's how they started dating actually. My mom didn't have a date to prom, and her parents (who were the HS English and HS Chemistry and Physics teachers) suggested my dad, because he was their smartest/favorite student.
Dad was a straight A student all through school and college, and was voted Most Likely to Succeed, Student Body President, was Valedictorian, etc. etc.
Pretty impressive considering his parents were dirt poor and had an 8th grade education,

My mom is a smart lady but my dad is extremely both intelligent and bright. I think in general my mom is a hard worker (grew up with a single mom and oldest of 3 kids) while my dad just is really really smart (youngest of 9 kids, everyone in his family is very intelligent).

I think it's a toss up. Both have their MBAs but mom's more book smart of the two. Dad's definitely common sense and bussiness smart but he's really a good-ol'-boy at heart. Very country.

This is such a tough question and I can't come up with an answer! But interesting to think about!

My dad. Hands down. He's absolutely brilliant and is the jack of all trades!

I hope no one asks this question to my LO when she's older!
My dad is smarter (book and business smarts), but my mom is much better at languages as she is trilingual. I would also say she has a higher EQ. They are a good match for sure.

They're both very smart but I think my Mom has more book smarts. Dad learned most of his stuff through experience. Mom could have been a doctor if she had the means to be.

My dad is tough...Very smart...Had to learn his way through life as an immigrant. I think it's street smarty. My mom is book smart.

I think they're pretty equal actually! Both are extremely street and book smart.

My dad. My mom has zero common sense and although she is an intelligent woman, the zero common sense overshadows it

Well my mom went to Harvard, and she is incredibly book smart, but she doesn't do much with it now. (She is a housewife, who enjoys playing Jeopardy and other trivia games). My dad has more street smarts, and is more unbalanced in academic smarts -- he has a Ph.D. in math, so he's great at quantitative stuff, but not nearly as good at writing, literature, and other verbal skills.
