I've met a ton of bands that I really enjoyed back in my teenager years. I could write a novel. I hung out with two of them for a bit though which was awesome.
Juliet Simms - lead singer of Automatic LoveLetter in 2008. (she was also runner-up on the Voice last season.) I was able to interview her and hang out backstage. It was pretty awesome.
Motion City Soundtrack - they were one of my favorite bands in 2005. They did a UCampus Tour for MTV and went to my ex's college. We hung out with them after the show. They were really nice.
Other than that, no one incredibly too famous. At least not for me. I wasn't star struck which is funny because I'm incredibly shy when I first meet people.
ETA: I'm a dope. I actually travelled with My Chemical Romance back in 2007 while they were on tour to do some publicity and photography work and my friend did their make up.

Susan Sarandon & Vince Vaughn. With Susan I literally shook her hand and that was it. I met Vince out at a bar in New Orleans--I was with a couple of girlfriends. We bought him a Jack & Coke and then ended up going bar-hopping with him...so fun!

Verne Troyer, you know, 'Mini-Me' from Austin Powers? My sisters and I were extras in the film 'Baby's Day Out,' and he was a stunt person on it. We got to meet him, although I don't much remember it!

The only famous person I actually met was America Ferrera. I said excuse me to Jessica Beal once, when I accidentally on purpose brushed against her.
I know someone who played basketball with Justin Timberlake and his bodyguards. That's probably the best famous person story I know.

Ummm Chelsea Clinton? She was sitting in the booth next to ours at a 24 hr diner in my home town (near DC) Thanksgiving weekend back in like 1997. It's not like I met her one-on-one, more my group was talking to her group.. she did talk some smack to me about college football though because my university was in the Rose Bowl that year and I think hers was too.

@BabyBear: @krsmall: He put us on his tab at the bars (and at the time I was a poor college student) so I definitely went a little overboard and the night ended up being kind of a blur. I do remember him asking me what I thought of the ending of "The Break Up," though!

Hmmm. Tough Choice as to who I would consider "Most Famous". I used to live in LA and run in the Music/Acting circles.
The more famous names would be Britney Spears, Courteney Cox, Jimmy Kimmel, Paris Hilton

NONE! Which blows because I love celebs. My DH always says I will make a fool of myself if I ever see one, but I think I could play it cool

I've met Presidents GW Bush & Clinton. Bush after a press conference when he was still Gov of TX. He sat down next to me to chat...asked if I liked to read books and told me I should read more. I responded that he should too, lol. I was 9.
I waited in line outside for like 8 hrs in mid-August in NOLA to meet Clinton at a book signing. I hugged him, lol. I was 9.
I also shook Obama's hand at a rally in 2008.
Oh, and when I was cocktailing I met Jude Law.

Do reality tv stars count? I once met Kiptyn Locke, he was on Gillian's season of the Bachelorette (he was the runner up). My friend is friends with him, we went out for drinks with him and he was SO nice- he opened every single door for me.
I also met Clinton Kelly from "What Not To Wear" in a bar once.

Wes Bentley -- the weird hot guy from American Beauty? He was filming a movie with Casey Affleck near our college campus (that was never released) and my friend and I hovered until he came off set and then we bombarded him for pictures. He was super nice. But that's about as famous as it gets lol.

@caffeinated: I met Michael Chang too! He was eating pho at the table next to ours. I was once at an acquaintance's house and saw a "Merry Christmas from the Chang Family" card and realized that it was Michael's family.

I know this is terribly British of me but I've met the Queen! My mum was invited to one of her famous garden parties for services to the country (she has been the housekeeper for a government department for over 20 years) and she took me as her guest. The Queen's amazing, I love her!!
DH is a sound engineer so he gets to work with all kinds of famous people. I just asked him who he thinks is the most famous and he couldn't decide between Gary Newman or Huey from the Fun Lovin Criminals.

Touched billy Joel's hand, went to high school with Julianne hough. I haven't met like anyone cool. My DH has met so many real life celebrities. He's had beers with several of the people from sons of anarchy and that makes me so jealous!

@MrsBrewer: she's the coolest/sweetest, love her!
I've met and worked with a ton. I met DH working in the entertainment/music industry (DH still does), my all-girl rock band had a developmental recording deal with Warner Bros, Chad from the Red Hot Chili Peppers was our manager and played drums on our record. haha, a totally different life at this point!

@sunny: DH was so happy to see him since he was his childhood tennis idol (short Asian tennis player). That's pretty cool that your friend knew the Changs!

Does it count if it was before they were famous? I knew Jim from the Office from back in 6th grade when we went to school together from then through 12th grade.

Most of the famous people I've met are politicians. Weird considering I'm not into politics at all.
