Who do you look up to as a role model in parenting? I have a friend with twins that lives in NYC and has a kick-a career. Her kids are so sweet and brilliant. She is definitely one of my heroes!!

Cheesy but my mom. I have a 8 week old daughter and my mom and I have always been super close but it's even better now to see her with my daughter.

@mrsjd: Aw that is really sweet. I'm sure she'd be so flattered to know that.

Definitely my mom. She stayed at home with 4 kids, always managed to have us eat dinner together, never saw dust in the house and was just all around awesome. She is also the best grandmother anyone could ever have as well. I only have one daughter and I have absolutely no idea how she kept a clean house and cooked us dinner by the time my dad got home. Ha.

My mom. She raised the three of us while working full time and becoming the head of her department at her hospital and was named teacher if the year at an ivy league university. She can pretty much do everything. I can sometimes manage a warm meal for my three.

Well, the mother I have most exposure to was my mother and she's definitely my hero, but I've also greatly admired my college roommate's mother. She lived pretty close to our university and took us in on holidays and random weekends. One of those genuinely sweet people always thinking of how to help.

Actually yes - Mrs. Train! Handling so many kids so close together is awe-inspiring to me. And now that I'm expecting twin boys of my own, I better take as much inspiration from her as I can get!!

On line, it's @Mrs. Train:! There is really something beautiful about you parent your children. Remember when James found his Captain America glasses? I do! Or the snake stuffed animals as closet monster guards or Summer time theme weeks? It's the little things that you do to make their childhood magical.
IRL, my doula and bff's mom. They are great people to begin with that just know how to love their kids and respect them as people. Their kids don't just love them, but truly like them.

I have a friend who's a SAHM to two little girls close in age. The younger one is partially deaf. She always seems like super mom to me. She does tons of fun stuff with her kids, art projects, EI and various therapy visits, cooks gluten free (she has celiac), paleo meals that look gourmet. She amazes me.

It's actually a former coworker of mine. I wasn't very close with her when I worked with her, but I now realize that she is the parent I want to be.
