You or your SO? We have our very first yard together and it's pretty big (requiring a riding lawn mower), and although I've mowed once in my life, I think I will give it a try. In reality though, DH will probably handle that job most of the time.

My husband owns a landscaping and lawn maintenance company. He does the lawns! He's a perfectionist!

I hate to default to gender stereotypes, but the lawn is totally Mr. Chalk's department. Luckily it's pretty small so it's not like he's out there for hours or anything.
When we first moved in last year, we actually just kept going with the lawn company that the previous owners had used. And then we were actually home one day when they showed up, and it was amazing to see how little they actually did. We canceled the contract the next week.

Um the landlord. But at a previous house I tried mowing and got the mower stuck under the garage, so...I don't foresee a lot of mowing in my future.

The maintenance guy, lol.
For real, though, if it were between DH and me, it would have to be him. I just won't lol. I'll let it go up to my eyebrows before I mow.

Our wonderful lawn guy comes by every two weeks. It's not a task either one of us would enjoy in the middle of a Texas summer.

@Bao: We have no lawn and I have never in my life mowed a lawn! I used to bribe my roommates in grad school with other chores or fresh cooked meals if they did my mowing--plus I only had it 3 times (monthly chore wheel with 4 roommates- yeah!)

I've never mowed a lawn. I know I could but I figure I do most of the inside house stuff, so my husband can do all the outdoor work.

DH mows and edges; I wouldn't be allowed. He's such a perfectionist that I'm not allowed to step on an edge!

DH cuts the grass most of the time. Last summer I cut the grass more than DH, mainly because I had the time since my sister stayed over most of the week and helped me watch LO.

Our landlord pays for a service. I wouldn't want to mow, but for some reason, I was thinking today that we should be a weed wacker. It seems like a satisfying job to get the small places all tidy.

I do. DH travels for work during prime mowing season. I can already see my neighbors having a heart attack when I'm out mowing at 30 weeks pregnant this summer.

That's DH's job. He's actually obsessed with the lawn. There's a newish neighbor that's even more obsessed then he is and it's like they're competing who mows the lawn more! The funny thing is, our neighborhood is filled with senior citizens, yet the two guys that are always mowing are both young!

Me! I love it!
Probably won't this summer with being pregnant but it's relaxing for me.

DH. When I lived alone, I hired gardeners. I hate yard work. If I wasn't married, having this house taught me that I am better suited for condo living

@Ash: ME too! I totally find it relaxing... although it is funny when I'm pregnant out mowing the lawn and DH is sitting down with a beer. lol

We both do, but I always volunteer to because I love it! I must have a thing for chores requiring pushing cuz I love vacuuming and sweeping too!

DH did it when we were dating. Then he jacked up his back. Now its my chore & I hate it. I have horrible allergies and always have to wear a mask when I mow or do yard work. If he could he would do it all, I know he would.
