My first was speaking full, clear sentences before she was 2 years old. My second will be 2 in three weeks and we can barely understand more than a couple words.

My first. Pretty much the same situation as you, except DD (my youngest) is 18 months old.

Logan is only 15 months and has a handful of words, but he definitely started talking later than Xander did and isn't saying as much as Xander was at this age. I'm going to hold out on judging until he's past the 18-22 month language explosion though. I suspect Xander's pretty advanced for his age though when it comes to language skills, so I'm going to assume that Logan won't be as vocal.

My second for sure. They're opposite ends of the spectrum. My first was in EI for a speech delay and finally said "mama" at 19 months. DD2 is 15 months and probably has 75 words.

My 2nd said her first words earlier (8 months), but my 1st was more advanced earlier.

My second by a mile! My first had barely any intelligible words at her second birthday but my second was speaking in three and four word sentences by 15 months, and now at 24 months, communicates her needs and thoughts in full, mostly intelligible, sentences.
